    • A firearm firing mechanism is so configured that a hammer is retaining by a front retaining block before pressing a trigger; pressing the trigger slightly at a first stage causes a main bar to bias a rear retaining block and the front retaining block backwardly at a relatively smaller angle to release the hammer in performing a single-shot action; pressing the trigger heavily at a second stage causes the main bar at a relatively longer distance so that the hammer is kept away from the front retaining block when it is returned, and the hammer is secured by the rear retaining block upon a backward displacement of a bolt and backward biasing of the hammer, and a linkage is forced to move the rear retaining block in releasing the hammer for firing when the bolt forward again, and a continuous multi-shot firing action is performed by means of repeating this operation. Thus, the invention enhances the operation convenience in achieving single-shot and multi-shot firing actions.

    • A gun that has a plurality of frangible barrels. At the proximal end of each barrel is a chamber that receives a cartridge. The cartridge has a reduced charge as compared to a conventional cartridge. Each barrel may have an inner sleeve formed from a malleable material. The out member of each barrel is comprised of a rigid material such as, but not limited to, a filled plastic. The inner sleeve is rigid enough to withstand the pressure of the reduced charge cartridge when fired, but is malleable enough to expand from the pressure generated by a standard charge cartridge. When the inner sleeve expands, the outer member fragments and destroys the weapon. The expansion of the inner sleeve and fragmentation of the outer member upon firing a standard charge reduces the propelling force in the bullet. As a result, the weapon is destroyed and the bullet is fired with a greatly reduced force. The barrels on the gun don not rotate. The hammer is mounted in a revolving mechanism that is rotated in a circular path from one barrel to the next when the trigger is pulled. Pulling the trigger also compresses and then releases a revolving member that forces the hammer into contact with one of the firing pins.

    • The invention relates to improvements in the design and operating mechanisms in a KRISS-type firearm, or a firearm employing a mobile mass. In one aspect, the invention is an improved cocking lever assembly comprising a main pin provided with a tenon (9) at one end (E), with a supporting compression spring (5), a cocking button (3), and a retention means (4), attached to a mobile mass (1). This assembly allows direct activation of the mobile mass (1) by the action of the operator's force on the cocking lever. Advantageously, this cocking lever assembly can be mounted indiscriminately on the right or the left of the mobile mass (1) and therefore of the firearm, according to the user's preference. This cocking lever assembly combines certain safety criteria with the option of ambidextrous use often preferred in modern firearms.
