    • A spacer is constituted by overlapping on a first wedge-shaped member, whose upper surface is inclined at a prescribed angle, a second wedge-shaped member, whose lower surface is inclined at the same angle. This spacer is inserted in the gap between a inner wall surface of an existing pipe and the outer periphery of a rehabilitating pipe. Latching teeth are formed in the inclined surfaces of the first and second wedge-shaped members so that, when pressing the second wedge-shaped member to move it toward the first wedge-shaped member in the insertion direction, it cannot move in the direction the reverse of the insertion direction. Upon moving the second wedge-shaped member to the respective latch positions, the overall height of the spacer is successively increased in steps at a fine pitch, thus enabling the adjustment of the position of the rehabilitating pipe with respect to the existing pipe to be performed simply.

    • A material composition and method for making flexible inversion liners having glass fibers added for strength is disclosed. The liner combines a first layer of polyester felt, an open-faced knit of fabric from ECR glass and PET strands, glass fibers, and a second layer of polyester felt. These components are needle-punched together into essentially a single composite mat, or substrate, using standard needle-punching machinery. The liner is then formed into a tube preferably through a butt joint and prayer stitch covered with a urethane tape. A coating or foil is placed on the outside (prior to inversion) of the liner that is then impregnated with resin. For heat curing, the liner is impregnated with a thermosetting or UV-cured resin. The liner is then installed in a pipe through inversion, using either air or water and cured with UV, steam, or hot water.

    • A method for repairing multiple conduits using a vacuum collapsed, elastic liner involves providing a quantity sufficient for multiple repairs to the work sight and inserting a length into the damaged conduit. The protruding liner is then heat-sealed to prevent volume flow between the inserted liner and the remaining liner. The inserted liner vacuum is broken enabling the inserted liner to reassume its original size and shape. In doing so the expanded liner seals the problematic breeches. A retaining sleeve is then inserted in the expanded liner to hold it in place.

    • A system and method of repairing a pipe including securing a reinforcing material, such as a dry fiber structure (e.g., a carbon fibers) to the surface of the pipe. A polymeric material is placed on top of the reinforcing material, self-penetrating the dry fiber structure. The polymeric material substantially saturates the reinforcing material and cures to form a reinforced polymeric composite which may increase or restore the pressure rating or operating pressure capacity of the pipe. Optionally, an outer containment component, such as a sleeve, shell, box, wall, outer pipe, and so on, may be installed around the reinforcing material prior to introduction of the polymeric material. Further, the polymeric material may be subjected to pressure to facilitate contact of the resin through the reinforcing material.
