摘要： A tamper indicating closure for use with a container having a neck with an opening in which at least a portion of the closure is transparent. A destructible seal is bonded to the container neck providing a hermetic seal which is visible through the closure to indicate package integrity or tampering. In some embodiments, a transparent insert member is provided through which the seal element is visible, and after removal of the seal element, the insert member serves to reseal the closure to the container neck. In some embodiments, access is obtained to the container by unthreading and removing the closure from the container neck and puncturing the destructible seal element. In other embodiments, the seal element is bonded to the flat closure top or the insert so that the seal element is fractured upon initial opening movement of the closure to remove it from the container neck.

摘要： The invention relates to an insulating jug or bottle having a housing in which a recess is arranged on the upper side which recess may be closed by means of a lid, having an opening therein, positioned in the region of the recess and which is to be closed and opened by means of a closing member carrying a sealing member, which closing member is mounted in the lid so that it may be adjusted between an opened and closed position by means of an adjusting mechanism, more particularly a worn gear or the like, having a hand grip, which mechanism acts inflexibly in the direction of the closed position, whereby movement of the hand grip is restricted in the closed position and the lid is fixed on the housing in the direction of movement of adjustment of the closing member. The object of the invention is to develop the insulating jug or bottle in such a way that when avoiding overloading of the sealing member, even when there are distance tolerances between the lid and the opening, tight closure of the opening is guaranteed. This is achieved by arranging an elastic connection (15) between the sealing member (14) and the closing slide (16), permitting relative movement between the closing member (16) and the sealing member (14) in a longitudinal direction in respect of the movement of adjustment, in which case the sealing member (14) is prestressed in the closed position towards the sealing surface (34) of the opening (9).

摘要： The screwcap comprises an inner cap and an outer cap. The outer cap is threaded on a container neck. The screwing action presses the inner cap and its sealing layer in an axial direction against the opening edge. An outer edge portion of the inner cap projects radially over the neck and is at a first distance over a projection on the inside of the outer cap collar. The projection only contacts the outer edge portion of the inner cap when the outer cap is unthreaded. Continued unthreading movement initially only raises the inner cap from the opening edge at a locally defined peripheral point through engagement of the projection on the lower edge of the inner cap outer edge portion, prior to complete raising of the inner cap, to eliminate a vacuum in the container. This reduces the force necessary for opening the screwcap.

The skirt is molded so as to define a tab which may be engaged by one's thumb and folded or hinged radially outwardly so as to facilitate application of the necessary lifting force to remove the closure from the container. There are several different tab formations and at least certain of the tabs have associated therewith tamper indicating means.

The shrink cap comprises a cover made of a nonshrinkable material and having an outer diameter somewhat larger than the external diameter of the tubular mouth of the container. The shrink cap also comprises a tubular skirt portion made of a shrinkable material. The upper end of the tubular skirt portion has substantially the same outer diameter as that of said cover. The skirt portion of the cap is shrunk so that the lower portion of the skirt is in tight sealing contact with the neck of the container and the upper edge portion of the cap is formed in the shape of a laterally outwardly projecting rim. Because of the thus-formed rim, the cap can readily be twisted so that it can be removed from the tubular mouth of the container.
