摘要： An exterior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a turn signal unit having a housing, a light source and a lens disposed in front of the light source and attached at the housing. The turn signal unit includes an aperture element disposed between the light source and the lens, and includes a film disposed between the lens and the housing so as to be in front of the light source. With the exterior rearview mirror assembly disposed at a side of the vehicle, light emitted by the light source, when powered, passes through the film and through an aperture of the aperture element and through the lens in the forward direction of travel of the equipped vehicle. The film includes structured sections such that light emitted by the light source, when powered, passes through the structured sections of the film and forms an illuminated logo.

摘要： An exterior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle equipped with a blind spot monitoring system includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly having a mirror reflective element, a mirror back plate and a heater pad disposed between the mirror reflective element and the mirror back plate. A light transmitting aperture of the heater pad is juxtaposed with a light transmitting aperture of the mirror reflector of the reflective element and with a light transmitting aperture of the mirror back plate. The mirror back plate includes first structure that is configured to attach at an actuator. A blind spot indicator is disposed at the light transmitting aperture of the mirror back plate, and, when activated responsive to a blind spot monitoring system of the vehicle, emits light through the light transmitting apertures, forming an illuminated icon viewable by a driver of the vehicle viewing the mirror reflective element.

摘要： A vehicle side-view mirror water removal arrangement is easily retrofitted to vehicles having an existing source of compressed air and a side-view mirror with a reflective surface. The arrangement includes a valve having an input port connected to the existing source of compressed air and an output port, the valve being movable between open and closed positions to control the flow of compressed air from the existing source of compressed air to the output port of the valve. A conduit's proximal end is connected to the output port of the valve with its distal end located at the side-view mirror for conducting the compressed air from the output port of the valve to the side-view mirror. A fastener fastens the distal end of the conduit to the side-view mirror so that the compressed air flows down the reflective surface of the side-view mirror, a nozzle at the distal end being provided to spread the compressed air substantially over an entire width of the side-view mirror to clear any water adhering to the reflective surface of the mirror.

摘要： A rearview mirror reflective element assembly includes a mirror reflective element, a heater pad, and a back plate. The heater pad includes a heater pad substrate having a plurality of electrically conductive traces established thereat, with the electrically conductive traces including (i) a heating trace that, when powered, heats the heater pad substrate and the mirror reflective element, and (ii) an accessory trace that, when powered, controls an accessory of the mirror reflective element assembly. The electrically conductive traces may include electro-optic control traces that, when electrically powered, darken the mirror reflective element. The heater pad is disposed between the mirror reflective element and the back plate. The accessory trace, when powered, controls a blind zone indicator that is disposed at the rear of the mirror reflective element and that is viewable, when powered, through the mirror reflective element.

摘要： A method for dynamically correcting misalignment of a vehicular camera includes fixedly disposing a camera at a vehicle and operating the camera to acquire multiple frames of image data while the vehicle is moving generally in a straight line. A plurality of sets of feature points are selected in an image frame, with each set including a first feature point and a second feature point. For each set of feature points, a motion trajectory of that set's feature points is tracked in subsequent image frames. For each tracked first and second feature points, a vanishing point is established in the image plane. Based on the established vanishing point, a vanishing line is determined in the image plane. When the vanishing line is determined to be non-horizontal in the image plane, at least one of pitch, roll or yaw of the camera is adjusted to correct rotational misalignment of the camera.

The assembly comprises two arm members which are configured to receive a side view mirror thereat and a joining member for joining the arm members. 摘要： A blind zone indicator module for a vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a hollow housing that includes a front end for attaching the indicator module at the rear of a mirror reflective element configured for use by an exterior rearview mirror assembly, a rear end opposite the front end, and an intermediate portion between the front end and the rear end. The hollow housing comprises an inner surface that is white and is diffusely reflective of light incident thereat. A diffuser element is attached at the front end of the hollow housing and closes the front end of the housing. Potting material is disposed at and over a circuit board to seal the circuit board in the module. Light emitted by a light emitting diode, when activated, reflects off the white inner surface of the hollow housing and passes through the diffuser element to exit the indicator module.
