A fixed ring gear (24) can be connected to the planetary gear assembly (20) during the high-range and low-range drive mode. The mode shift mechanism (56) and the range shift mechanism (50) can be electro-mechanically actuated by a reversible rotatable actuating gear (348, 448) interposed between an expandable clutch actuator (388, 488) and a rotatable barrel cam (359, 459).

A control is performed to disable the allocation of driving force to the rear wheels by disengaging the front and rear torque allocation clutch, when the state that the difference in wheel speed between the left and right rear wheels is equal to or more than 80 km continues for 0.1 sec or longer in the state that the vehicle body speed is equal to or less than 120 km.

The vehicle further includes: a determination unit which determines whether a friction coefficient of a road surface is lower than a predetermined value based on an index value relating to the friction coefficient of the road surface; and a control unit which generates a control signal which causes engagement of the dog clutch before the vehicle starts when the determination unit determines that the friction coefficient of the road surface is lower than the predetermined value.

摘要： A multi-speed power transmission device includes an input shaft, first and second output shafts and a planetary gearset. An axially moveable sleeve fixes the first output shaft and the input shaft for rotation when in a first position and the sleeve fixes the sun gear and the input shaft for rotation when in a second position. A hub is axially moveable and free to rotate relative to the first output shaft when in the first position. The hub is fixed for rotation with the first output shaft when in the second position. A cam plate is continuously fixed for rotation with the carrier and urges the hub toward its second position when in a second axial position. The input shaft drives the first output shaft at a reduced speed via the planetary gearset when the sleeve, hub and cam plate are at their second positions.
