    • The invention relates to a tension ratchet with a belt magazine, for rapidly fixing a good to be transported to a vehicle, an object to a support, or several objects to each other. The tension ratchet (30) is combined with a belt magazine (1) which receives the entire idle belt supply during use and during storage and ensures rapid tying down/releasing of e.g. a transport load, due to constant availability for use; as well as tidy storage. The belt magazine (1) is arranged in such a way that it lies flat on the lower arm of the tension ratchet (30) in order to reduce the construction height, with a vertical belt winding up shaft (15) for receiving a belt to be wound up in horizontal rotation. The belt runs into the tension ratchet out of the belt magazine on its back side in the winding position, rotates about 90° in said tension ratchet and is then led out through the load tensioning roller (8).

    • A winch (1), a vehicle including the same and a method of operating associated thereto. The winch (1) is used with a strap (15) for fastening a load onto a transportation vehicle, and comprises a tightening assembly (3) and a gear assembly (5). The tightening assembly (3) comprises a support structure having first and second support flanges (7, 9) and a cross member (11) extending between the flanges (7, 9). The cross member (11) is devised for mounting onto a corresponding side track of the vehicle. The tightening assembly (3) also comprises a tightening reel (13) for receiving a portion of the strap (15) to be tightened about said reel (13), the tightening reel (13) being pivotally mounted onto the first and second support flanges (7, 9). The gear assembly (5) is operatively connected to the tightening assembly (3), and comprises a gear (17), a worm (19), and a casing (21). The gear (17) is securely mounted about the tightening reel (13) so as to rotate with said reel (13). The worm (19) is positioned adjacent to the gear (17) and operable between a first configuration where the worm (17) is away from the gear (19), and a second configuration where the worm (17) is threadedly engaged with the gear (19) so that a rotation of the worm (17) drives the tightening reel (13) via the gear (17), along opposite directions of rotation, for either fastening or unfastening the strap (15) onto the tightening reel (13). Excess portion of the strap 15 may be wound about a winding assembly (27) which is removably mountable onto the tightening assembly (3).

    • An improvement in ratchet coupling means of a driving tool includes a driving member inserted into a handle and covered by a control ring, a ratchet ring and a circular cap, a pair of springs biase the checking blocks in the driving member each having teeth on the sloped surface engaged in the teeth of the ratchet ring and selectively operated by four diagonally arranged stir bars in the control ring which further has three separate positioning grooves respectively engageable within a spring biased steel ball from the driving member for permitting the ratchet driving tool to conduct three fastening modes by its hexagonal socket wrench. A phillips tipped hexagonal shank may be secured to the driving tool by necessary components to change the socket wrench into a screwdriver.

    • A carpet removal system for efficiently removing carpeting. The carpet removal system includes a winch, a base member with a plurality of base teeth attached to the base member, an engaging member with a plurality of engaging teeth, and a cable extending from the winch for connecting to the engaging member. The base teeth and the engaging teeth are capable of catchably engaging the carpet to be removed. The engaging member is attached to an end of the carpet to be removed and the winch is positioned near an opposite position upon the carpet. The winch is operated to cause the engaging member to be drawn towards the winch thereby causing the carpet to be removed from the floor.
