    • A powder material application apparatus capable of applying powder material uniformly onto lower surfaces of plural upper punches, upper surfaces of plural lower punches and inner circumferences of plural dies of a tabletting machine. Powder material is applied on a material contacting surface of the lower punch by spraying powder material mixed with air from a powder material spray port for lower punch of a powder material application part for lower punch. Powder material is applied on a material contacting surface of the upper punch wherein powder material is not applied enough according to gravity by spraying powder material mixed with air from a powder material spray port for upper punch while the upper punch moves from an initial end to a terminal end of the powder material spray port for upper punch. The powder material spray port for upper punch is provided along the rotary orbit of the upper punches and is elongated more than the powder material spray port for lower punch.

    • A blind cutting apparatus includes a support surface adapted to support a window covering, a frame disposed at the end of the support surface and a rack movable within the frame. A plurality of die assemblies are fastened to the rack, in which each die assembly includes a fixed die that has openings sized to receive the ends of the window covering and a movable die that is movable relative to the fixed die. The fixed dies and the movable dies are adapted to cut the ends of the window covering. The rack is adapted to move relative to the support surface such that a selected die assembly is adjacent the support surface and the moveable die of the selected die assembly is independently moveable of the moveable dies of the other die assemblies.

    • A punch retainer system includes one or more punch retainers that are selectively insertable into a retainer block. The punch retainers are dimensioned such that they can be positioned closely together and thereby allow punches to be arranged in a closely positioned arrangement. The punch retainers are insertable into a retainer block which includes recesses dimensioned to receive the punch retainers. The recesses are custom-cut in the desired arrangement by the tool and die shop. After insertion of the punch retainers into the retainer block, the punch retainer and retainer block assembly is secured to a die shoe. The punch retainers may include a releasable lock for selectively securing the punches in the punch retainers.

    • The feeding apparatus is driven intermittently by a electric servomotor with a drive shaft. The upper feeding roller is held clamped in a bipartite upper shaft assembly between a shaft portion located adjacent the electric servomotor and a shaft portion located remote from the electric servomotor. The connection between the drive shaft of the electric servomotor and the upper shaft assembly is accomplished by a multi-part clamping sleeve device. The one spur gear wheel and a part of the Oldham-type coupling are made integral with a part of the multi-part clamping sleeve device.

    • The present invention relates to a punch (30) and punch assembly (2) for use in a tool (1) for joining ductile materials, such as metal sheets (7,8), in a lance joint or a clinch joint. The punch (30) has a punch body (31) formed around a punch axis (5). Two punch tips (34,34null) extend in opposite directions from the punch body (31) along the punch axis (5). The punch body has one or more load engagement features (41,41null) by which a punch force for joining the ductile materials (7,8) is imparted to the punch body (31).
