摘要： A lock adapter for an ammunition can having a clamp lever with an aperture includes a rod element received through the aperture and mounted to a side of the can. The rod element incorporates a relieved portion on an end opposite the side of the can and has a length and diameter sized in combination with the relieved portion for clearance of the aperture through an angular displacement of the clamp lever for opening the can. A hole substantially perpendicular to an axis of the rod receives a padlock. A bolt received through a drilled hole in the side of the can engages a tapped bore in the rod. A Bellville washer is placed on the bolt between the side of the can and the head of the bolt. The Bellville washer includes a sealing gasket adjacent the side of the can to seal the bolt and bolt hole preventing moisture from entering the can.

The clip has a “U” shaped portion for encircling the side wall of the enclosure. The “U” shaped portion has an inner leg, a spanning portion, and an outer leg. The clip has a support portion projecting from an inner leg for supporting the cover of the enclosure. An interface portion of the clip projects from the outer leg. The base is interposed between the side wall of the box and the outer leg of the clip. The base has a flange portion projecting outward and underlying the interface portion of the clip. The flange portion has a hole. The body has an “L” shape including a cover retaining portion and an extending portion. The extending portion has a bore extending from the cover retaining portion. The body has a cavity opening onto an inner surface. The cavity receives the flange portion of the base and the interface portion of the clip. The interlocking mechanism is receivable by the bore of the body and interrelates with the flange portion of the clip and the flange portion of the base for securing the body to the base and the clip, and securing the cover to the box.

A locking bracket includes a first wall having opposing first and second ends and a first surface facing the first wall of the mounting bracket. A second wall is joined to the first end of the mounting bracket and extends in a first direction away from the first wall of the locking bracket. In one embodiment, a lock housing is fixed to the first wall of the locking bracket. The lock housing defines a cavity for receiving a barrel lock and an opening intersecting said cavity. The opening receives the stud for engaging the barrel lock received in the cavity.
