In a representative embodiment, a service initiation system is executed in a computing device that communicates with a service provider system over a network to activate a wireless service associated with a newly purchased wireless device. The service initiation system also generates a network page to send to a client over the network, where the network page has a component that initiates a porting of a contact designation associated with a prior wireless device to the newly purchased wireless device separate from the activation of the wireless service for the newly purchased wireless device.

摘要： The present disclosure discloses a method for short message signaling intercommunication and a short message service center (SMSC), relating to the field of mobile number portability (MNP) service in mobile communications technology, and applying to solve the problem in the prior art that the process of the short message signaling intercommunication cannot be applied to the MNP service. The method includes: step 1, the SMSC of a sending network receives a mobile original (MO) message from a mobile switching center (MSC) of the sending network, wherein the MO message includes the mobile directory number (MDN) of a receiving terminal (21); step 2, according to the MDN of the receiving terminal, the SMSC of the sending network inquires of the number portability data base (NPDB) about the current home network of the receiving terminal, and acquires the information of the current home network of the receiving terminal (22); and step 3, according to the information of the current home network of the receiving terminal, the SMSC of the sending network transmits the mobile terminal (MT) message (23) generated according to the MO message to the MSC of the current home network of the receiving terminal. The present disclosure is applied to the short message signaling intercommunication in the mobile number portability service.

摘要： An automated method begins by receiving a list of numbers that have been de-activated by a carrier. Periodically, and for each number, a request is made to identify a current carrier for the number. If the current carrier matches the carrier that provided the de-activation information, the mobile number is considered to be in a first state, i.e., shut off and returned to a pool of numbers that are available to this same carrier. Upon a determination that the number is in the first state, the provider issues a request to any opt-in database to delete any express consent or other similar data associated with the number. If, however, the number does not match the carrier of deactivation, the number is considered to be in a second state, i.e., likely to have been ported by the same user to a new carrier. This state is logged in an audit trail.

摘要： Systems and methods for a call flow for a mobile directory number (MDN) from a first phone to a second phone which has been intra-service ported. The system includes: a first switch of a first technology; a second switch of a second technology; and a local number portability database (LNP). The LNP stores local routing numbers (LRN) associated with the MDN. The WLNP system determines whether a call, from the first phone, is received by a public switched telephone network (PSTN) or the first switch. If the call is received by the PSTN with the LRN, the call is routed to the second switch based on the LRN. If the call is received by the first switch without the LRN, the first switch queries the LNP for the LRN and the call is routed intra-carrier to the second switch.
