摘要： A system and method for effecting rapid safe charging of sealed storage cells embodying a charger to supplying a rapid high rate charging current to the cells or battery of cells with interruption but once during charging, at an optimum time to prevent cell or battery damage, the timing of this interruption being effected by change in magnitude of a continuous control signal by means incorporated in the cell or battery. This magnitude changes when voltage across the cell terminals increases above a reference voltage that varies with change in battery or cell temperature, the change in said magnitude of the control signal serving to effect interruption of rapid charging. Subsequent to this interruption charging at a slower rate proceeds to complete the charge of the sealed cell or battery of such cells.

The capacitive regions in the battery cell comprise capacitive double layers between the electrolyte mixture and particles of active material that comprise the battery cell. 摘要： A method for charging a battery comprises: measuring a battery voltage with a voltage sensor and a battery current with a current sensor; applying, with a charging circuit, a first charging current to the battery until the measured battery voltage exceeds a predetermined voltage threshold, a magnitude of the first charging current being held at a first constant value; applying, with the charging circuit, in response to the measured battery voltage exceeding the predetermined voltage threshold, a second charging current to the battery until a cutoff criterion is satisfied, a magnitude of the second charging current being such that the battery voltage exceeds a steady state voltage limit for the battery; after the cutoff criterion is satisfied, determining a rest voltage of the battery; and updating the cutoff criterion based on a difference between the determined rest voltage and a target rest voltage.

The energy storage device includes an adapter, an energy storage unit and a charger module. The adapter provides the charger module with an input current, and the charger module provides the energy storage unit with a first current. When the input current provided by the adapter is higher than a maximum safe current of the adapter, the energy storage unit provides the charger module with a second current. The MCU detects an instant mode of the electronic device and outputs a first signal to the control module when the electronic device is in a standby mode. The control module is configured to switch off the first power supplying module when the first signal is received. A power supplying method is further provided.
