    • A protective circuit includes a first jack, a second jack, a first control unit, a detecting circuit, and a logic control circuit. The first jack is connected to a power supply, and includes a grounding wire and a live wire. The second jack is connected to a load, and includes a grounding wire and a live wire. The first control unit includes a first relay, the first relay is connected to the live wire of the first jack and the live wire of the second jack. The detecting circuit detects whether the grounding wire of the first jack is grounded, and outputs indication signals accordingly. The logic control circuit outputs a control signal to the first control unit according to the indication signals to turn on/off the first relay, for allowing the live wire of the first jack to be connected to/disconnected from the live wire of the second jack.

    • A system and method are provided for remotely detecting and locating faults in a power system. The system includes at least one slave controller and at least one supplemental protection module. The slave controller is disposed proximate at least one load and electrically connected to the loads via at least one conductor. More particularly, the slave controller includes at least one solid-state switch capable of controllably altering the input current to the loads. The slave controller also includes at least one measuring element for measuring at least one parameter associated with the loads and the solid-state switches. The solid-state switch can then controllably alter the input current to the loads according to the parameter. The supplemental protection modules are electrically connected to the conductors between the slave controller and the loads. In this regard, the supplemental protection modules can detects at least one fault in at least one conductor.

    • A fail check device and method for switching signal lines, wherein PWM signals are sent out onto PWM signal lines through a PWM signal output/survey circuit. Based on the level of the PWM signals to be sent out and the level of the PWM signals actually sent out, a PWM mismatch signal (logical) is produced. The produced PWM mismatch signal (logical) has a value which indicates a fault when the PWM signal lines are in a state of breakage or short circuit to a ground or the PWM signal lines in a predrive circuit are short-circuited to the positive wiring of a power source. Therefore, by using the PWM mismatch signal (logical), a breakage in the PWM signal lines or a fault in the predrive circuit can be detected by a control CPU.
