摘要： A service provider receives, from a merchant device, a geotagged image of a payment instrument, such as a credit card, provided to the merchant by a buyer for payment. It first determines the validity of the payment instrument using the captured image and then assesses the validity of the claimed purchase transaction by comparing the GPS data in the geotagged image, representing the geotagging location, with a separately transmitted GPS data, representing the location of transmitting the geotagged image. For further assessment, it may further compare the time of geotagging the image with the time of transmitting the image. The service provider then determines on the overall validity of the claimed purchase transaction based on the determination on the validity of the payment instrument and the assessment results, and if it determines the purchase transaction is valid, processes requested payment to the merchant's account.

摘要： Biometric matching technology, in which a watch list is managed, multiple images of a potential suspect are accessed, and parallel pre-processing of the multiple images is controlled. Based on the pre-processing, an image of the potential suspect to use in matching against the watch list is determined and the determined image is used to search sorted biometric data included in the watch list. A subset of persons from the watch list is identified based on the search and parallel analysis of the determined image of the potential suspect against detailed biometric data associated with the subset of persons in the watch list is controlled. Based on the parallel analysis, it is determined whether the potential suspect matches a person in the watch list and a result is outputted based on the determination.

The system and method allow comparisons between a query image and one or more catalog images in a manner that is resilient to scanning, scaling, rotating, cropping and other distortions of the query image. The system includes an image processing module that determines and/or calculates principle features of a catalog image and constructs a feature vector using one or more of the principle features. The system also includes a matching module that matches a query image to one or more catalog images. The system finds matches based on a distance measure of features present in the query image and features present in the catalog images.

The method includes the step of generating a portal dosimetry image showing differences between a planning image obtained prior to a treatment session and a portal image obtained during the treatment session. A database of prior portal dosimetry results is accessed, and a processor is used to perform a similarity measurement between the portal dosimetry image and the prior portal dosimetry results. Based on the similarity measurement, the system determines whether radiation was delivered as planned during the treatment session.

摘要： A method for operating an infotainment system of a motor vehicle for searching in a database in which at least one database entry with a distinct object identifier and corresponding metadata is stored is disclosed. When a search term is entered into an input field of an input unit, an input completion unit searches through a search history for a search term that matches the partial input already present in the input field. The input unit then completes the partial input in the search field on the basis of the search term found in order to provide an input suggestion. When the search term is entered, additionally a searching unit searches in the database for at least one database entry which has an object identifier or metadata that at least partially matches the partial input and/or updated content in the input field and this database entry is displayed to the user in a selection list that is different from the input field for selection.
