摘要： A form-fill-seal machine has a forming structure, a vertical seal structure, and a clamp fixing mechanism. The forming structure has a support frame, a tube, a sailor collar-shaped unit, and an anvil. The tube is fixed to the support frame. The sailor collar-shaped unit is fixed to the support frame, and wraps a sheet-shaped film around the tube so that two ends thereof overlap. The anvil is fixed to the tube. The vertical seal structure has an oscillator. The oscillator generates ultrasonic waves in order to seal overlapping portions of two ends of the film, being conveyed through the intervening gap with the anvil, in a vertical direction. The clamp fixing mechanism fixes the forming structure and the vertical seal structure in fixed positions relative to one another.

Curvature-free surface lines in the second and fourth quadrants originating from the shaping edge approach each other with increasing distance from the prism part, and the shaping edge angle measured between the surfaces of the shoulder part and the inner face of the prism part decreases from the second to the third quadrant and increases again from the third to the fourth quadrant.

Substantially rectangular apertures in a plurality of mounting brackets are configured to fit snugly on corresponding substantially rectangular shoulders formed on a mounting post. The configuration inhibits pivoting motion of the former on the mounting post. In an illustrated embodiment, the mounting post is attached to a base plate with a plurality of spaced-apart fasteners which prevent rotational movement of the mounting post relative to the base plate. Radial attachments are used in the illustrated embodiment to secure the funnel portion of a product feed tube to the mounting apparatus. Paired upper and lower mounting brackets permit precise alignment of the device prior to affixing the radial attachments to the mounting brackets. The disclosed mounting system obviates the need for subsequent adjustment of the former on the packaging system to align the former assembly with the pull-down belts and the longitudinal seal former.

The invention involves producing a vertical stand-up pouch or flat bottom bag from a single sheet of packaging film by forming one or two vertical creases along opposing sides of the packaging film tube prior to forming a transverse seal on the tube. The vertical crease is formed using the stationary tucker bar gusseting mechanism positioned outside the packaging film tube and positioned between two forming plates located inside the packaging film tube. While the tucker bar gusseting mechanism is stationary during operation, it is fully adjustable along multiple axes of orientation.
