摘要： A wheel assembly for a baby stroller in which the wheel or wheels are mounted to the trailing portion of a linkage assembly that is pivotally carried at its midportion by a lower support. The leading portion of the linkage assembly is located ahead of the wheels and is connected by a tension spring to an upper support. Upward travel of the wheels is resisted by extension of the spring. The lower support mounts a lock movable into lock and release positions. In the lock position the lower support is prevented from rotating about a vertical axis relative to the upper support. In the release position such rotation can occur. Consequently, the baby stroller can be turned around and pushed in a direction opposite the original direction of travel once the wheel assemblies are properly oriented.

摘要： The invention relates to a collapsible wheelchair or carriage of the stroller type, particularly for handicapped children. The carriage has a rectangular, rigid under-frame, formed by two side members (1) with wheeled axles (2) joining the members, which also support a superstructure (5, 7, 9). The superstructure is collapsible from an erected position of use to a folded position adjacent the underframe, and carries the carriage seat (15), which includes a seat portion (15a) and a back portion (15b) and preferably side pieces as well. The superstructure is self-locking in an erected state, such that it cannot be collapsed under the action of the weight of a person sitting in the seat. The superstructure is also implemented to form armrests or side supports for the seat.

The axis of the wheels is pivotally attached and offset in trailing relation to and on opposite sides of the mounting spindle with an intermediary shock cushioning arrangement. The spindle has a common shaft with a lower section arranged to provide an interfacing shoulder to a rotatably mounted upper section. The upper section includes means for attachment to the vehicle frame.
