    • A window assembly for sealingly attaching a window glass to a frame of a motor vehicle door is disclosed. The window assembly includes a sealing assembly in combination with a window glass. The sealing assembly comprises a sealing, trimming or guiding strip comprising a length of extruded material, a polypropylene or the like part which is joined to the window glass at an edge of the window glass, and a molded material, which is joined to the polypropylene or the like part and connected to said sealing strip. The molded material is preferably made of TPE. The strip is preferably made of EPDM. The molded material is molded in a mold with the polypropylene or the like part, which has previously been molded onto the window glass, and the strip to mold onto and thereby connect to these parts.

    • A method of forming a division post assembly for guiding a moveable window panel in a motor vehicle comprises: forming a body portion free of structural metal and coextruding at least one sealing wing with the body portion to form a coextruded assembly. The body portion comprises a first material and has a generally U-shaped cross-section including a base and first and second opposing walls defining a channel configured to receive at least an edge of the moveable window panel. The sealing wing projects into the channel and comprises a second material different than the first material. The body portion and the coextruded assembly exhibit sufficient flexibility for hand manipulation into a curved shape having a first radius of curvature that is substantially the same as a second radius of curvature of a mold cavity of a mold into which the coextruded assembly is configured for placement.

    • A quarter window (20) attached to a door frame (12) of a vehicle rear door (11) is disclosed. The quarter window includes a quarter window panel (21) and a window frame (31). The quarter window panel is made of a synthetic resin material. The window frame includes a division bar (32) and a scaling portion (33). The division bar is configured such that a glass run (15) can be fitted to the division bar, and the sealing portion includes, as a part, the division bar. The sealing portion is integrally coupled to the quarter window panel so as to extend along the periphery of a side of the quarter window panel that faces inside of the vehicle. A part of the sealing portion is capable of being fitted to the door frame. The quarter window panel and the window frame are integrally molded. The window frame is made of a synthetic resin having a high rigidity. A fixing portion (35) for fixing the window frame to the door frame is integrally formed with the window frame.

The U-shaped structure comprises two L-shaped shaped parts of which at least one has a generally L-shaped configuration and comprises a base part intended for fixing on the frame structure and a side part extending perpendicular thereto. At least one of the two shaped parts is adjustably fixed on the frame structure for adjustment in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the pane in such a way that the contact pressure of the sealing lip is adjustable. The contact pressure of the sealing lips on the pane can be adjusted in a simple manner in accordance with specific requirements in order to secure a reliable sealing effect as well as to reduce wear.
