Multicomponent polymeric fibers are introduced into a forming chamber and are infilled at least into the interior void spaces of a support web. At least some of the infilled multicomponent component fibers are self-bonded to each other to form a porous web that is embedded within the support web. The porous embedded web may contain particles that are bonded to the multicomponent fibers of the web. The optional particles in the porous embedded web may be e.g. abrasive, absorbent, etc.

摘要： A cleaning cloth of the invention includes: a first face including a first fold location and a second fold location that intersects and is generally perpendicular to the first fold location, the first and second fold locations dividing the entire first face into four quadrant cleaning areas of substantially equal size, each of the first and second fold locations having a length; and a set of four sequential indicators at the first face, with one of each of the set of four sequential indicators located at one of each of the four quadrant cleaning areas. The first face is free of marked lines that extend along the entire length of each of the first and second fold locations. In this fashion, a user may fold and unfold the cleaning cloth so as to expose and use one or more of the four quadrant cleaning areas in a particular sequence by reference to the sequential indicators, and whereby a user may know which of the four quadrant cleaning areas have been used by reference to the sequential indicators. In another aspect, a cleaning cloth of the invention includes: a first face; an oppositely disposed second face; and a disposition indicator tag connected to the cleaning cloth. The tag includes a plurality of tabs with each tab having an appearance visibly distinguishable from the other tab or tabs.

The nonwoven material, in one embodiment, comprises from 20 to 100% by weight melamine fibers. Other synthetic and natural fibers can be used in conjunction with the melamine fibers. However, it is the melamine fibers which are important, and the actual amount can be varied based on the nature of the surface to be cleaned, cleaning difficulty and material cost.

摘要： A method of cleaning residue from a surface using a disposable cellulosic wiper that includes from about 25% or more by weight of pulp-derived papermaking fibers. The pulp-derived papermaking fibers have a characteristic scattering coefficient of less than 50 m2/kg. The wiper also has from about 25% to about 75% by weight of fibrillated regenerated independent cellulosic microfibers. The fibers are finer than 14 mesh, have a characteristic Canadian Standard Freeness (CSF) value of less than 175 ml, have a number average diameter of less than about 2 microns, and are present in amounts such that the wiper exhibits a scattering coefficient of greater than 50 m2/kg. The wiper is applied, with a predetermined amount of pressure, to a residue-bearing surface. The surface is wiped with the applied wiper to remove residue from the surface, such that the surface has less than 1 g/m2 of residue after being wiped.
