摘要： CPVC pipe in diameters in the range from 15 mm (0.5 inch) to 15.24 cm (6 ins), to carry hot and cold aqueous streams under 690 KPa (100 psi) pressure and 82.2° C. (180° F.) in continuous service, is extruded from a compound in which the CPVC has a high Cl content in the range from 66.5%-70%, when modified with either of two specific impact high rubber modifiers in an amount greater than 5 parts but no more than 6 parts per 100 parts of CPVC. Extruded CPVC pipe provides a HDB measured according to ASTM D2837-01 which is 25% or more greater than that required for commercial pipe as specified in ASTM D2846. As a result, both SDR-11 and SDR-13.5 pipe are produced which provide a HDB of at least 1250 psi (8.62 MPa) at the 100,000 hr intercept.

摘要： Dithiocarbonate derivatives are disclosed, along with a process for preparing the same. The dithiocarbonate compounds can be utilized as initators, chain transfer agents and/or terminators in controlled free radical polymerizations. The dithiocarbonates can be used to produce polymers having narrow molecular weight distribution. Advantageously, the compounds of the present invention can also introduce functional groups into the resulting polymers. The dithiocarbonate compounds have low odor and are substantially colorless.

摘要： Disclosed are multi-purpose alkali-swellable and alkali soluble associative polymers, which are the polymerization product of a monomer mixture comprising: (a) at least one acidic vinyl monomer; (b) at least one nonionic vinyl monomer; (c) a first associative monomer having a first hydrophobic end group; (d) a monomer selected from the group consisting of a second associative monomer having a second hydrophobic end, a semihydrophobic monomer and a combination thereof; and, optionally, (e) one or more crosslinking monomers or chain transfer agents. When monomer (d) is an associative monomer, the first and second hydrophobic end groups of monomers (c) and (d) have significantly different hydrophobic and/or steric character from one another. The multi-purpose associative polymers surprisingly provide desirable Theological and aesthetic properties in aqueous media.

摘要： Polymers are disclosed that incorporate portions of secondary or tertiary polyamide segments connected with polyisocyanates. These polymers have enhanced matting properties. The enhanced matting properties are from creating an inherently matt surface from the polymer without the use of any separate fine particle size matting additives. Conventional matting agents such as fine particle size silica usually results in loss of physical properties such as haze development and porosity in the coating from the matting agent. Composites and hybrids of these polymers and other polyamides, polyurethane with vinyl polymers (acrylates) are also disclosed and claimed.

摘要： An amorphous solid dispersion includes a linear poly(acrylic acid) and an active pharmaceutical ingredient. The linear poly(acrylic acid) used to form the amorphous solid dispersion has a Brookfield viscosity of at least 100 cP at 25° C. A method of forming such an amorphous solid dispersion of an active pharmaceutical ingredient includes forming a liquid dispersion of a linear poly(acrylic acid), an active pharmaceutical ingredient, and a solvent system, the linear poly(acrylic acid) having a Brookfield viscosity at 25° C. of at least 100 cP and evaporating the solvent system from the liquid dispersion to form an amorphous solid dispersion.
