摘要： A distributor for a coffee machine and a method for making coffee with options for selected quantity and types of coffee to be served are disclosed. The distributor has three fluid passages and operable between first and second positions. In the first position a first passage is adapted to receive a water and coffee mixture from a first hopper to be delivered to a first brewer or a second passage is adapted to receive a water and coffee mixture from a second hopper to be delivered to a second brewer. In the second position a third passage is adapted to receive a water and coffee mixture from either selected one of the first and second hoppers to be distributed substantial-equally to the first and second brewers. The invention provides a simple distribution system for the coffee machine with options for selected quantities and types of coffee. The invention also advantageously makes it possible to quickly serve a freshly brewed coffee with a selected quantity and type.

The coping member retains the top of the flexible wall against the post.

摘要： A utility knife comprises a hollow casing formed by a pair of elongated members pivotally mounted one to the other at one end of the casing. A blade passage is provided at another end of the casing. The elongated members are adapted for movement in substantially parallel planes between aligned closed functional and open diverging positions. The casing is provided with a mechanism adapted to carry and selectively position a blade. The utility knife further comprises a locking member pivotally mounted to one of the elongated members and adapted in a closed position thereof to secure the elongated members in their aligned closed position. A pin extending inwardly from one of the side arms of the locking member is adapted to cooperate with a camming surface provided on the other one of the elongated members in order that, upon rotational movement of the locking member away from the closed position thereof, the elongated members are forcedly divergingly pivoted one with respect to the other about the other end of the casing and away from the aligned closed position thereof. As the spreading of the elongated members has been initiated by the pivot of the locking member the manual spreading of the enlongated members towards the full open diverging blade removal and replacement position thereof is facilitated as well as reduced. The elongated members interlock at the blade passage to prevent the lateral spreading of the casing during use.

The fluid exit port directs fluid exiting the port towards the carpet area in front of the device. The pad has a layer of absorbent material and a mesh layer situated over the absorbent material layer. The mesh layer is made of nylon, has a substantially flat, low friction surface and a plurality of openings of approximately 4 mm diameter. A ring-like member removably mounts the pad to the front of the housing. The member includes resilient carpet agitating protrusions. The device housing also has a window for observing the fluid level in the reservoir. The fluid entrance port for the reservoir has a funnel-shaped recess associated with it. A bracket is provided for hanging the housing on a wall. The bracket includes a compartment for retaining absorbent pads when not in use.
