摘要： Disclosed is a facsimile apparatus equipped with an automatic answering telephone function, as well as a communication method in this apparatus. When a tone signal from a line is detected after the start of storage of a voice message in response to an incoming call, the voice message presently being recorded is not counted as a received message and a voice message received next is stored in the area in which storage has just been performed. Further, when a DTFM signal, which is a control signal of the automatic answering telephone, is detected, a transition is made to facsimile communication in response to a CNG signal. Thus, erroneous operation in facsimile communication due to a CNG signal recorded in the automatic answering telephone is prevented.

摘要： A safety control power window device which reliably detects nipping of a finger by a window and sash and which is little influenced by variations of motor characteristics of the motor used as a drive source of the power window device. The window position and a thrust pressure acting on the rotary shaft of the motor providing the force for opening and closing the window are detected. Reference pressures for detecting nipping are set according to the window position detected. By comparing the detected pressure and the reference pressures, nipping by the window is detected. Since nipping and the window position are not detected using the drive current of the motor, accurate safety control is realized, eliminating influences caused by variations of the characteristics of the motor.

摘要： A facsimile apparatus having a multi-output recording mode for producing a plurality of sets of output record of the received data. The multi-output recording mode is selectively prohibited when the number of the recording paper sheets remaining in the facsimile apparatus has become small, so that as many communications as possible can be recorded. The facsimile apparatus has a recognizing device for recognizing the number of recording sheets remaining therein, and a control unit which performs such a control that, when the number of the sheets recognized by the recognizing device has come down below a predetermined value, only one set of the output record is produced, even when a communication designated for the multi-output recording has been selected. An indication circuit is provided to enable indication of the fact that, although multi-output recording was planned initially, only one set of output record has been produced due to a shortage of the recording sheets. The indication is added to the received image data or to the data to be output as the communication result report.

摘要： A recording apparatus such as a facsimile apparatus comprises a first control unit to perform a control regarding the generation of dot data, a second control unit for controlling the recording operation, a fan to reduce a temperature in the apparatus, a heat fixing device having a heater, and detectors such as thermistors for detecting temperatures at a plurality of positions near the fixing device. Each of the first and second control units generates a first control signal to control the rotation of the fan on the basis of detection outputs from the thermistors. The heat fixing device has a cylindrical endless film made by polyimide or the like whose inner surface is come into contact with the heater and a pressure roller which is come into contact with the outside of the endless film. A recording paper is sandwiched between the film and the pressure roller and passes therebetween.

The opening/closing position of the window is detected by counting pulses generated as the window moves. A region where a safety control can be carried out is determined on the basis of the detected opening/closing position. When the window reaches a position near a position where the window is fully closed, the count indicative of the opening/closing position detector is reset. The resetting operation is carried out so that a time point where the relative speed of the window is reduced is set at the fully closed position of the window.
