摘要： Provided are a method of estimating an encoder for dual stream transmission, and an encoder using the same. The method includes the steps of: a) setting up the number of memories required for an encoder, a free distance condition for robust data, and a free distance condition for mixed stream of robust data and normal data; b) obtaining ½ rate encoder combinations that sustain backward compatibility with a typical trellis encoder; c) obtaining encoder combinations H that satisfy the free distance condition for the robust data and the free distance condition for the mixed stream from the ½ rate encoder combinations; d) obtaining relations between memories and input/output signals, which satisfy the encoder combinations H; and e) configuring an encoder according to the obtained relation between the memories and the input/output signals.

The on-channel repeater includes: a receiving unit for receiving a Radio Frequency (RF) broadcast signal from a main transmitter; a frequency downlink converting unit for converting the received RF broadcast signal into an intermediate frequency (IF) signal; a demodulating unit for converting the converted IF signal into a baseband signal; an equalizing unit for removing noise and multi-path signals generated from the converted baseband signal; a modulating unit for converting the baseband signal into an IF signal; a frequency uplink converting unit for converting the IF signal into a RF broadcast signal; a high power amplifying unit for amplifying and repeating the converted RF broadcast signal; a transmitting unit for transmitting the RF broadcast signal outputted from the high power amplifying unit; and a signal synchronizing unit for generating the first reference frequency, and generating the second reference frequency based on the first reference frequency such that the transmission/reception signal are frequency-and-phase synchronized.

摘要： Provided are an on-channel repeater and method for increasing output of the on-channel repeater by removing feed-back signals caused by low isolation of transmission/reception antennas. The on-channel repeater includes: a receiver for receiving RF signals and converting the RF signals into baseband signals; a subtractor for subtracting replicas of feedback signals from the received signal; an inverse channel estimator for estimating inverse of a reception channel and generating a filter tab coefficients; a first adaptive filter for compensating for channel distortion of the subtracted signal; a transmitter for converting the signals whose channel distortion is compensated into an RF signal and performing radio transmission; a down-converter for down-converting the RF signal converted by the transmitter into the baseband signal; and a replica generator for calculating replicas and feeding back the replicas to the subtractor. The present invention is applied to the on-channel repeater.
