    • Provided is a wireless communication device. A PHICH reception unit (206) determines whether a received signal in a PHICH region is an ACK signal or a NACK signal. When doing so, the PHICH reception unit (206) does not receive a PHICH in a subframe in which a terminal (200) monitors an E-PDCCH. A control signal reception unit (207) outputs a retransmission prompting signal to a signal allocation unit (210) when the signal outputted from the PHICH reception unit (206) is a NACK signal and when a UL grant was not detected. Meanwhile, when a UL grant was detected, the control signal reception unit (207) outputs the detected UL grant to the signal allocation unit (210). The signal allocation unit (210) maps the transmission signal in accordance with the retransmission prompting signal and the UL grant and transmits the transmission signal from a wireless transmission unit (211).

    • Provided are a terminal device and a retransmission control method by which, when carrier aggregation communication using a plurality of downlink unit bands is applied, the quality of downlink data transmitted by each downlink unit band can be maintained, while suppressing the increase in overhead of downlink allocation control information. In a terminal (200), a control unit (208) performs transmission control of a response signal on the basis of a reception success/failure pattern of downlink data received by a downlink unit band which is included in a unit band group set in the terminal itself. The control unit (208) makes the phase points of the response signal different in accordance with a number of downlink data which has been successively received, namely, a number of ACK, in the reception success/failure pattern, and makes the phase points of the response signal between reception success/failure patterns identical when there are a plurality of reception success/failure patterns having the same ACK number.

    • A wireless communication system enabling multihop communication while maintaining the system throughput and preventing degradation of the user throughput. In the system, a BS (base station) determines the relaying method (whether an RS performs reproduction relay or nonreproduction relay) of the RS (relaying station) and the MCS of multihop communication according to the reception quality (the line quality among an MS2, the RS, and the BS) of the pilot for nonreproduction relay, the reception quality (the line quality between the RS and the BS) of the pilot 2 for reproduction relay, and the line quality (the line quality between the MS2 and the RS) measured at the RS. The determination result is transmitted as relay information to the RS and to the MS2 (a mobile station (2)) through the RS. The MS2 encodes and modulates the uplink data with the MCS based on the relay information and transmits the data to the RS. The RS relays the uplink data while selecting nonreproduction relay or reproduction relay according to the relay information.
