摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide an image correcting apparatus capable of performing zoom processing or mask processing on an image output from an imaging device, such as an image display device or an image monitoring/recording device, or on a reproduced image from an image recorder, in such a way as to adjust the exposure or luminance of the zoomed portion or the unmasked portion of the image to an optimum level and thereby allow display of a clear image.An image correcting apparatus of the present invention comprises: image input/output interfaces; zoom processing means for zooming an area of an input image; luminance histogram processing means for creating a luminance histogram of the zoomed area or an unmasked area of the image; and exposure correction processing means for adjusting the exposure or luminance of the zoomed area or the unmasked area to an appropriate level based on the luminance histogram created by the luminance histogram processing means.

摘要： A lubricant is provided that can form a sufficiently thin one-molecule film surface even when it is highly polymerized. When used for a magnetic recording medium lubricant layer and/or a head slider lubricant layer of a magnetic recording device, it can make the film thickness of the lubricant layers very small, with the result that it can furnish an increased reliability to the magnetic recording device in a wide temperature-range environment without damaging the flying stability. This lubricant comprises a fluorine-containing polymer having a specific structure. Such a fluorine-containing polymer can be manufactured by reacting a compound having a specific structure and 1,3-butadiene diepoxide.

摘要： An exposure apparatus performs exposure for a substrate by filling a space between a projection optical system and the substrate with a liquid and projecting an image of a pattern onto the substrate through the liquid by using the projection optical system. The exposure apparatus includes a substrate stage for holding the substrate, a liquid supply unit for supplying the liquid to a side of an image plane of the projection optical system, and a focus/leveling-detecting system for detecting surface information about a surface of the substrate not through the liquid. The exposure apparatus performs liquid immersion exposure for the substrate while adjusting a positional relationship between the surface of the substrate and the image plane formed through the projection optical system and the liquid, on the basis of the surface information detected by the focus/leveling-detecting system. The liquid immersion exposure can be performed at a satisfactory pattern transfer accuracy.

摘要： An exposure method includes first through third steps. In the first step, respective first and second illumination regions of a mask having a predetermined pattern are illuminated with an illumination light having a predetermined wavelength. In the second step, an image of the mask is formed, respectively, in first and second exposure regions (formed on a substrate) based on the illumination that passes through the first and second illumination regions. The first and second exposure regions each have a substantially polygonal shape defined by two parallel sides and two sides other than the two parallel sides. In the third step, the first and second exposure regions and the substrate are moved relatively in a first direction such that the first and second exposure regions are formed in different positions in a second direction which crosses the first direction.
