摘要： An information processing system includes a bus; a display data generating circuit coupled to the bus for generating display data in a form of a plurality of bits for each of a plurality of pixels of a display panel; and a display apparatus coupled to the bus. The display data generating circuit includes a central processing unit and a memory. The display apparatus includes a display panel including a plurality of data lines and a plurality of scanning lines in a matrix form with pixels formed at intersections of the data lines and the scanning lines, the display panel being capable of displaying a grayscale image in accordance with the display data in a form of a plurality of bits for each of a plurality of pixels of a display panel; a signal driver for supplying driving voltages corresponding to the display data to at least a part of the plurality of data lines to display an image, the signal driver including a display memory for storing the display data and being constructed in an integrated circuit; and a scanning driver for scanning the plurality of scanning lines. The display data generating circuit transfers the display data via the bus to the display memory.

摘要： A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a liquid crystal display panel which includes data lines and scanning lines intersecting each other in a matrix arrangement, and a plurality of pixels each including a switching element, a common electrode, and a pixel electrode, with the pixels being disposed at intersections of the data lines and the scanning lines. The apparatus also includes a plurality of signal driver circuits which supply driving voltage signals in accordance with display data to the data lines of the liquid crystal display panel, a scan driver circuit which sequentially selects the scanning lines of the liquid crystal display panel one at time, a power source circuit which supplies power voltages to the signal driver circuits and the scan driver circuit to supply power to the signal driver circuits and the scan driver circuit to enable the signal driver circuits and the scan driver circuit to operate. The signal driver circuits are divided into a first signal driver circuit group and a second signal driver circuit group. The power source circuit supplies a first power voltage to each signal driver circuit in the first signal driver circuit group, and supplies a second power voltage different from the first power voltage to each signal driver circuit in the second signal driver circuit group.

摘要： There is disclosed a resolution conversion apparatus for converting an original digital image into a digital image having a different number of pixels in accordance with an instructed conversion magnification factor. In the apparatus, a determination circuit determines the number of pixels to be interpolated in each block of the original image and positions where they are interpolated in accordance with the conversion magnification factor. The block includes a predetermined number of pixels of the original image. A converted image generation circuit generates pixel data for the interpolation pixels at the positions where they are interpolated in accordance with a predetermined interpolation equation whose coefficients are determined with the positions and data values of the pixels in the block, and combines the pixel data for the digital original image and the generated pixel data to output a converted digital image. The interpolation equation includes spline functions and Bezier functions.

摘要： An image display device includes: a first power supply line; a second power supply line; a plurality of pixel circuit; a driving circuit for supplying a data signal and a scanning signal; and a switch unit. Each pixel circuit includes: a driving transistor between the first power supply line and the second power supply line; a light emitting element controlled by the driving transistor; and a storage capacitor for storing the data signal and controlling the driving transistor. The driving circuit causes the storage capacitor to store the data signal and controls an intensity of light emission based on the data signal. The switch unit is provided at one of one end of the first power supply line and one end of the second power supply line to control whether or not to allow a current to flow from the first power supply line to the second power supply line.

A detection scanning circuit is provided on the right side of the screen. Detection switch controlling lines extend from the detection scanning circuit. By appropriately selecting the analog switches, the switch controlling lines, and the detection switch controlling lines, the voltage-current characteristics of plural pixels are measured at the same time.

摘要： Provided are a power supply circuit and a display device which are capable of enhancing power efficiency even when applied to a display panel whose current consumption varies. The power supply circuit boosts and outputs an input voltage using a booster chopper circuit. A frequency control circuit changes a frequency of a clock signal, which controls a switch of the chopper circuit, in accordance with a load of the power supply circuit. The frequency control circuit divides an operation of the display device into a display effective period at a high load and a vertical retrace period at a low load, based on a vertical synchronizing signal and a horizontal synchronizing signal. The frequency control circuit sets the frequency of the clock signal in a high-load period to be higher than that in a low-load period.

By performing a super-resolution process, a resolution-increased image is obtained from an input image in multiple frames. A high spatial frequency-emphasized image is obtained by adding the high-frequency image to the resolution-increased image. 摘要： A display device is capable of improving display quality. A data line drive circuit outputs a display signal voltage to data lines in a first period. Each pixel holds the display signal voltage with reference to a voltage determined based on characteristics of the drive transistor. In a second period, a control voltage for controlling the drive transistor is output to the data lines. The drive transistor generates a drive current in accordance with the control voltage and the held signal voltage so as to allow the self-luminous element to emit light. After the second period, a third period is provided in which a voltage signal for setting a control terminal of the drive transistor to have a given correction voltage is output to the data lines. The first period follows the third period.
