In an example embodiment of the invention, a method comprises: receiving, at a device, a request, wherein said request conveys one or more registered unique identifiers, wherein the registered unique identifiers indicate device capabilities, and wherein said request conveys response criteria referencing the registered unique identifiers; determining, at the device, recognition of one or more of the referenced registered unique identifiers; determining, at the device, possession of device capabilities indicated by the recognized registered unique identifiers; and determining to dispatch, from the device, response to the request, wherein the dispatch is contingent upon the recognition and the possession.

    • An apparatus, method and system to set a control channel configuration in a response to an indication of interference in a communication system. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a processor 520 and memory 550 including computer program code. The memory 550 and the computer program code are configured to, with the processor 520, cause the apparatus to detect interference for the apparatus operable on a communication system from another communication system, and provide an indication of the interference to a base station. The memory 550 and the computer program code are further configured to, with the processor 520, cause the apparatus to receive an indication of a relocation of at least a portion of a control channel to a protected area in response to a signal from the base station.

    • First, second and third apparatuses, methods and computer programs are provided. The first apparatus (10) controls a transmitter to transmit, to the third apparatus (30), service information relating to at least one service. The first apparatus (10) also controls the transmitter to transmit, to the third apparatus (30), at least one access control parameter that defines how to control access to the service information. The second apparatus (20) controls a transmitter to transmit a request, to the third apparatus (30) via data link layer signaling, requesting access to service information. The request comprises at least one access request parameter. The third apparatus (30) determines, from at least one access control parameter provided by the first apparatus (10), how to control access to service information provided by the first apparatus (10). The third apparatus (30) decides, in response to reception of the request from the second apparatus (20), whether to enable the second apparatus (20) to access service information provided by the first apparatus (10). The decision is dependent upon the at least one access control parameter. In response to deciding to enable the second apparatus (20) to access service information provided by the first apparatus (10), the third apparatus (30) controls a transmitter to transmit, via data link layer signaling, that service information to the second apparatus (20).

    • An apparatus determines a wireless traffic load; generates at least one timer value based at least in part on the determined traffic load; and initiates a wireless transmission at a time based at least in part on the at least one timer value. The at least one timer value indicates a time for initiating a transmission after changing from a lower power state to a higher power state. In an exemplary embodiment the wireless traffic load is determined via continuous monitoring and initiating the transmission includes obtaining a transmission opportunity for sending a trigger frame or a power save poll frame. Various exemplary techniques are detailed as to how to determine the traffic load. The generated at least one timer value is a maximum time, which may be truncated for example after the apparatus receives a data unit by which to obtain a network allocation vector.

    • A flexible transmission resource reservation scheme and data transmission scheme is provided for a wireless network. A source node transmits a data transfer reservation request for a transmission resource to at least one neighboring node including at least one target node of the wireless network. The source node may have data to be transmitted or may anticipate data reception from at least one of the target nodes. Then, the source node receives from the at least one neighboring node an acknowledgment to reserve the requested transmission resource for data transfer between the source node and the at least one target node. Thereafter, data is transferred between the source node and the at least one target node within the reserved transmission resource.
