The liquid crystal display includes a first substrate, a plurality of gate lines and data lines disposed on the first substrate and crossing each other to define a plurality of pixels, a plurality of thin film transistors connected to the gate lines and the data lines, a plurality of color filters disposed on the thin film transistors, a partition to divide the color filters, a plurality of pixel electrodes connected to the thin film transistors, a second substrate facing the first substrate, a common electrode disposed on the second substrate, the common electrode forming a liquid crystal capacitor and a storage capacitor along with the pixel electrode, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. Each pixel includes a display region where the pixel electrode and the color filter overlap each other, and a storage region where the pixel electrode and the common electrode form the storage capacitor, and the thin film transistor and the pixel electrode are connected to each other in the storage region.

摘要： There are provided an organic EL device and a method of fabricating the same. An effective display area on which an anode electrode, an organic luminescence layer and a cathode electrode are formed is sealed by means of a metal can, a glass cap or an organic/inorganic material. A power source is applied to the anode and the cathode electrodes through a power transferring part extended from the effective display area to a non-effective display area. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the oxidation of the cathode electrode of the organic EL device, thereby preventing the electrical contact characteristics of the cathode electrode from being deteriorated.

摘要： Disclosed are an active matrix type organic electroluminescent display device and a manufacturing method thereof. At least two capacitors having different functions from each other are disposed in a vertically stacked structure within a unit pixel region. When a compensation circuit needing two or more capacitors having different functions from each other per pixel is applied, the two or more capacitors are vertically stacked, thereby preventing the aperture ratio from being lowered due to the increase in the number of capacitors within the pixel.

The first and second TFTs respectively include a gate electrode, a source electrode, and a drain electrode. The gate electrodes of the first and second TFTs are connected to the gate line, the source electrodes of the first and second TFTs are connected to the data line, and the coupling capacitor includes the sub-pixel electrode of the second sub-pixel and the drain electrode of the second TFT as two terminals.

摘要： A display device includes a gate driving part, a data driving part, a display panel and a kickback voltage compensating part. The gate driving part outputs a gate signal, and the data driving part outputs a data signal. The display panel displays an image in response to the gate signal and the data signal. A pixel voltage of the display panel is reduced by a kickback voltage varied based on a gray scale and induced when the gate signal falls. The kickback voltage compensating part compensates an image control signal externally provided to the kickback voltage compensating part for the kickback voltage to output a data control signal to the data driving part.

摘要： A display substrate includes a TFT layer, a passivation layer, an organic layer, an inorganic insulating layer and a pixel electrode. The TFT layer includes gate and data lines, a thin film transistor and a storage electrode. The data line crosses the gate line, and is electrically insulated from the gate line by a gate insulating layer. The TFT is electrically connected to the gate and data lines. The passivation layer covers the TFT layer. The organic layer is on the passivation layer. The inorganic insulating layer of a low temperature deposition is on the organic layer, and the low temperature is about 100° C. to about 250° C. The pixel electrode is on the inorganic insulating layer to be electrically connected to the TFT through a contact hole that is formed through the inorganic insulating layer, the organic layer and the passivation layer. The inorganic insulating layer helps to block leakage of impurities from the organic layer to layers above the inorganic insulating layer.

A first pixel electrode is electrically connected to the first switching element to receive the first data signal and a second pixel electrode is electrically connected to the second switching element to receive the second data signal. The second pixel electrode faces the first pixel electrode and is electrically insulated from the first pixel electrode. A liquid crystal layer has liquid crystal molecules aligned in response to the first and second data signals applied to the first and second pixel electrodes, respectively. Thus, the liquid crystal display apparatus may prevent afterimages on a screen thereof and a flickering phenomenon.
