摘要： A separate refrigeration system in a conventional refrigerator for dispensing a chilled carbonated liquid such as water or a beverage from the front door of the refrigerator and is comprised of a refrigerator having a freezer compartment wherein there is located a condenser. The condenser is interconnected with a combined evaporator-carbonator unit located in the front door. The freezer compartment accordingly acts as a heat sink for the condenser. The evaporator unit being integral with the carbonator, operates to chill the carbonator. When desirable, the condenser and evaporator can be replaced by a liquid heat transfer system having a heat absorbing coil assembly located in the carbonator and a heat dissipating coil assembly in the freezer compartment or by a constant temperature heat pipe having its heat dissipating end located in the freezer compartment while its heat absorbing end is located in the carbonator.

摘要： A carbonator system consisting of a meter assembly and two holding tanks which may be used on earth or in the microgravity conditions in outer space. The meter assembly functions as a double acting pump to simultaneously pump separate quantities of water and carbon dioxide to one of two holding tanks which both function as a single acting pump. These holding tanks hold the carbon dioxide and water for a sufficient time and at a sufficient pressure in order to form carbonated water. One of the holding tanks can discharge the formed carbonated water to a dispenser. Once this tank is empty, the other holding tank may begin to dispense carbonated water. The first holding tank may then be refilled with carbon dioxide and water by the action of the meter assembly.

摘要： Methods and apparatuses for providing a selectable beverage from a post-mix beverage dispenser are provided. In one embodiment, the method for providing a beverage having a separately selected color from a post-mix beverage dispensing system comprises: (a) providing at least two beverage bases for dispense from the post-mix beverage dispensing system; (b) separately storing at least two colorants in the post-mix beverage dispensing system; (c) receiving a request for a selected beverage base and the separately selected color with a computer processor; and (d) in response to the selection of the selected beverage base and the separately selected color, automatically dispensing through a single faucet of the post-mix beverage dispensing system, continuously in a predetermined ratio for any volume of the beverage dispensed, the selected beverage base and at least one of the colorants to provide the beverage having the separately selected color.
