摘要： A beam-forming apparatus and method for improving system performance using a spatial interpolation and at least one Angle of Arrival (AoA) in a system based on regular spatial sampling is provided. The AoA is estimated using a carrier-to-interference ratio. Beam-forming angles are distributed and steered in a predefined scheme such that an identical process is applied in all directions. According to this steering, a linear system model is computed based on regular spatial sampling using regular spatial separation at beam angles. Beam-forming performance is improved by compensating for a difference between adaptive and sector-type arrays. Only the steps of computing a spatial interpolation and determining an angle range for beam-forming using at least one AoA are added. The precision of estimating an AoA and the precision of beam-forming increase without an additional antenna. Because the system is simpler than that of an adaptive beam-forming system, significant gain is obtained.

摘要： Disclosed is a system for providing handover of a mobile node in a wireless network supporting Mobile IP (Internet Protocol). The mobile node sends, when handover is needed, a request for neighbor access router information to a first access router currently communicating with the mobile node, and selects, if the neighbor access router information is received, a second access router serving as a target access router using the received neighbor access router information. The first access router exchanges access router information with a neighbor access router, provides neighbor access router information to the mobile node upon receiving the neighbor access router information request from the mobile node, and redirects data to be delivered to the mobile node to the second access router to which the mobile node will be handed over. The second access router forwards data to be delivered to the mobile node, received from the first access router, to the corresponding mobile node.

The device segments an input frame into multiple sub frames of an appropriate length when the input data frame is very long, and then encodes and decodes the sub frames. Otherwise, when the input data frames are very short, the device composes input frames into one super frame of an appropriate length and then encodes and decodes the super frame. After frame encoding/decoding, the frames are recomposed into the original input frames.

Accordingly, a channelization code set is formed to include a predetermined number of channelization codes to be searched, code channel data corresponding to the channelization codes is detected from a received signal, the code power of the code channel data is measured and compared with a predetermined threshold, and channelization codes having code power values exceeding the threshold are selected as active channelization codes.
