    • A vehicle course estimation device which includes: a direction indicator sensor which detects an operating state of a direction indicator of a vehicle; a distance detection section which detects a distance between the vehicle and an intersection located at a travel direction side of the vehicle; a reference speed calculation section which calculates a reference speed, which is a speed for the vehicle to arrive at the intersection after a predetermined time, on the basis of the distance between the vehicle and the intersection located at the travel direction side of the vehicle, which has been detected by the distance detection section, when an operation of the direction indicator is detected by the direction indicator sensor; and a course estimation section which estimates a course of the vehicle on the basis of a speed of the vehicle with respect to the reference speed calculated by the reference speed calculation section.

    • A liquid ejecting device includes a head unit having a first nozzle array and a second nozzle array that ejects a liquid of a same type as that of the first nozzle array and a movement mechanism that moves at least one between a target in which the liquid lands and the head unit in a movement direction that intersects with a direction of nozzle arrangement of each of the nozzle arrays.     • Disclosed is a liquid discharge apparatus that allows a discharge head to discharge liquid to a predetermined object. The apparatus includes the following elements. A plurality of discharge heads are detachable independently. A head switching circuit switches a target discharge head to another target discharge head among the discharge heads in a set switching order to allow the target discharge head to discharge liquid. A monitoring circuit monitors liquid discharge conditions of the respective discharge heads. The liquid discharge conditions of each discharge head include the frequency of use of the discharge head and the presence or absence of a failure in the discharge head. A life determining circuit determines the life of each discharge head on the basis of the result of monitoring by the monitoring circuit. A target head setting circuit sets each of the discharge heads having a remaining life to the target discharge head and sets the switching order so that the frequencies of use of the target discharge heads are imbalanced. A notifying circuit provides a notification for urging replacement of the discharge head whose remaining life is lower than a predetermined value.
