    • A torque rod having an arm portion, a ring portion formed on each end of the arm portion in a longitudinal direction of the arm portion, and a rubber bushing that is integrally provided with the ring portion. The arm portion is formed from a material that is lower in specific gravity than iron. A weight is provided in a portion of the rubber bushing other than a principal spring portion. The principal spring portion, which absorbs principal vibration to be isolated, is formed by an elastic arm portion that extends radially outwardly from an inner cylinder located substantially in a center of the rubber bushing and is connected to the ring portion. An aperture, which is a separation space, is provided between the elastic arm portion and the ring portion.

    • To block the transmission to a vehicle body side of the vibration due to the cavitation phenomenon occurred in a primary liquid chamber so as to prevent the generation of noises, at the same time, to make the device compact, and to improve the fitting accuracy to obtain the reliable positioning, a first metallic fitting and a second metallic fitting are connected by an insulator. A primary liquid chamber and a secondary liquid chamber formed inwardly are partitioned by a partition member and communicated therebetween by an orifice passage. The partition member is floatingly supported between an extended portion of the insulator and an outer peripheral thick wall portion of a diaphragm, and the tuning is performed to generate the rigid resonance at the predetermined frequency. An outer ring is provided in the outer peripheral thick wall portion so as to be securely fixed by a fixing portion formed by bending an end of an outer cylindrical fitting. The floatingly supporting structure does not become large-sized and complicated since the partition member is simply floatingly supported.

    • A pound or number sign shaped (#-shaped) die cast sub-frame includes first and second horizontal members and first and second vertical members. The sub-frame has four arm mounting portions provided at four corners thereof, respectively. The arm mounting portion is a die cast part obtained near a communication portion of a runner formed in a die casting machine. Generally triangular bulged portions are formed at junction portions where the first horizontal member meets the first and second vertical members. Each junction portion has increased width. The junction portion is a die cast obtained within a cavity of increased width of the die casting machine. The bulged portion is pierced to provide a hole. The bulged portion having the hole formed therein is to be mounted to a small vehicle component.
