摘要： A method of reducing, treating or preventing drug-mediated respiratory depression, muscle rigidity, or nausea/vomiting in an animal, incident to the administration to said animal of a mixed delta/mu opioid agonist or a respiratory depression-mediating drug, comprising administering to the animal receiving said drug an effective amount of a delta receptor agonist compound. Preferred examples of such delta receptor agonist compound include diarylmethyl piperazine compounds and diarylmethyl piperidine compounds, and pharmaceutical compositions thereof, having utility in medical therapy for reducing respiratory depression associated with certain analgesics, such as mu opiates.

摘要： A firefighter training device, for training a firefighter proper techniques for breaking and clearing a window, using a frame defining a framed space, a plurality of transparent impact resistant panels which are arranged coplanarly to fill the framed space, and a plurality of panel retaining assemblies which selectively hold the panels in position. Once the panels are formed into a window like configuration, the panels are struck, causing one of the panels to break away as the panel retaining assembly releases that panel. Then, the remaining panels are struck to cause those panels to break away and to simulate the proper action of clearing the window after it has been initially broken. Following the exercise, the panels are restored to the frame so that the exercise may be repeated.

摘要： A training device, for mounting to a standard door having a cutout at middle height, the door mounted in a door frame having a strike plate at middle height. A sliding box is mounted in the cutout for slidable motion toward and away from the strike plate. At least one spring is mounted between the sliding box and the cutout for biasing the sliding box toward the strike plate. The spring is selected to resist compression and thus motion of the sliding box away from the strike plate. The amount of resistance that the spring provides is equivalent to the amount of resistance presented by a doorknob and locking assembly on standard doors. Thus, a crowbar-like tool may be used to pry the sliding box away from the strike plate to open the door and simulate the force and action necessary to pry open any standard door.
