摘要： An ink jet recording apparatus comprises a recording head including a discharge port for discharging ink, a first liquid chamber at the upstream side in the direction of ink flow toward the discharge port, and a second liquid chamber at the downstream side, an ink tank for containing ink to be supplied to the recording head, an ink supply tube for causing the ink tank to communicate with the recording head, a shut-off valve provided in the ink supply tube and opening or closing the ink supply tube, a cap for covering the discharge port; and a suction pump for forcedly discharging the ink in the recording head from the discharge port when the cap covers the discharge port. The shut-off valve is opened when the first and second liquid chambers are reduced to respectively desired pressures by the suction pump in a state where the cap covers the discharge port and the shut-off valve is closed, whereby the ink in the ink tank is supplied through the ink supply tube to the first and second liquid chambers.

摘要： A micro-electromechanical device comprises a movable member having a fixedly supporting portion and movable portion, and a substrate for having the movable member which is supported in a state having a specific gap with the substrate. For this device, a metallic layer which provides the gap for the movable portion is covered by the fixedly supporting portion of the movable member, and remains to be used as a wiring layer. The wiring layer is electrically connected with a plurality of wiring provided for the substrate. With the structure, thus arranged, the electric resistance is made significantly small. The electrical efficiency is enhanced accordingly. Also, the apparatus that adopts this device is made smaller, and the costs of manufacture thereof is made lower as well.

The bluntness of a pulse waveform by the transmission of the signal via a cable, and a radiation noise generated from the cable can be inhibited, and the ink jet recording head can cope with high speed and a multiplicity of nozzles.

摘要： A method for coupling a liquid jet head unit is to couple a liquid jet head unit for recording by discharging liquid to a recording medium with a head installation member capable of installing the head unit through an elastic member. This method comprises the steps of preparing a liquid jet head unit structured integrally with two orifice arrays substantially paralleled and a first supply opening group for supplying liquid to the orifice arrays, and a head installation member provided with a second supply opening group corresponding to the first supply opening group for supplying liquid to the liquid jet head unit, and also, an elastic member having holes corresponding to each of the supply opening groups, providing first and second coupling units for one end side and the other end side of the two orifice arrays for coupling the liquid jet head unit and the head unit installation member, respectively and coupling only one face of the liquid jet head unit and the head unit installation member using the first and second coupling units. With the adoption of this method, it is possible to implement stabilized recording on a recording medium by a stabilized ink supply, at the same time, preventing any erroneous installation in the coupling mode.

摘要： A diesel engine has a fuel injection nozzle to which pressurized fuel is supplied from a pump. The nozzle has a pressure sensor detecting the fuel pressure and a lift sensor sensing a lift magnitude of a needle valve. An electronic control unit (ECU) computes a variation ratio of the fuel pressure value which is measured by the pressure sensor. The ECU computes a non-increasing point in an increasing part of variation ratio and judges the point to be a timing for starting the fuel injection of the nozzle. The EPU also computes the actual fuel injection amount in accordance with the fuel injection timing as well as the fuel pressure and the lift amount of the needle valve both at the various points. The EPU controls the actual injection amount to be identical to a target fuel injection amount.

摘要： An ink jet recording apparatus having a recording head includes an ink storage tank for storing ink to be supplied to the recording head, an ink path between the recording head and the ink storage tank, and an ink remain detector provided in the ink path. The ink remain detector has ink inflow and outflow ports and an ink chamber communicating therewith; at least a portion of a wall of the chamber is formed of a flexible film member. A separation of the flexible film member is detected by a detector means, responsive to a pressure decrease in the ink chamber. The flexible film member is biased so that it is not apart from the detector means. The displacement of the flexible film is limited so that the film is not displaced over a predetermined amount, and is limited when enough ink flows from the inflow port to the outflow port in the ink chamber.
