The intermediate transfer belt includes a metal layer whose light reflection coefficient is larger than that of the coated layer and an intermediate layer positioned between the coated layer and the metal layer, and the intermediate layer that restrains the different light rays having a wavelength other than the predetermined wavelength from reflecting from the intermediate transfer belt.

摘要： An offset adjustment signal is recorded in a test recording area provided on the inner side of a disc while modifying the level of a driving signal for offset detection that is supplied to a tilt adjustment coil. Thereafter, an operation to play back the offset adjustment signal is performed, and a β value is detected from an RF signal that is played back. When a signal is recorded for which the detected β value reaches a maximum, the level of the driving signal supplied to the tilt adjustment coil is set as an offset value. Tilt control is then performed by adding the offset value to a tilt signal for performing tilt control.

摘要： In manufacturing a semiconductor memory, a gate oxide film, a polysilicon film and a WSi film are laminated on the major surface of a semiconductor wafer corresponding to both an element region on which a semiconductor chip is to be formed and a dicing region serving as a dicing line. These laminated films are patterned to form a projected dummy pattern having substantially the same wiring structure as that of a gate electrode portion of a selective transistor. The dummy pattern is formed between element isolation regions along a dicing direction at the same time when the gate electrode portion is formed. The dummy pattern prevents stress caused by dicing from being concentrated on an insulation film in the dicing region, thereby minimizing a crack waste. Consequently, in the semiconductor memory, a malfunction due to a large crack waste caused by the dicing, can be avoided.

摘要： An image forming apparatus adapted for a smooth mounting/dismounting of a process unit and for the reduction of wasteful power consumption is provided.Unless a new image signal is applied after completion of an image forming operation, the apparatus starts a clocking operation by an internal timer (Step S101). If the apparatus is left standstill for a predetermined length of time (Step S102), a sleep process (Step S103) is executed to shift the apparatus to a power save mode to consume less power. When an outside cover is opened (Step S105), on the other hand, the apparatus is shifted to a replacement operation mode (Step S106) in which only the rotation of a development rotary is permitted. However, if the apparatus is left with the outside cover opened (Step S108), the sleep process is executed.
