    • A nozzle having a set of flaps is formed on the exhaust end of a turbojet engine. Seal means are provided between adjacent flaps so that the area between the nozzle flaps will have a minimum flow loss between them as they are moved between their minimum area position and maximum area position. A seal flap is located between each pair of nozzle flaps and is maintained centered by a track on the seal flap and links connected to the adjacent sides of the nozzle flaps. A guide at the free end of the links is guided on said track. A guide member positions the flap axially and prevents it from being lifted from the surface of said nozzle flaps.

    • A load is connected across one DC source of a first polarity and is connected to the opposite polarity of a second DC source, the two sources being connected in series with a capacitor/resistor network, or other voltage maintaining circuit, connected in parallel with the series combination of the two sources. The first source drives the load in one polarity and the second source drives the load in the other polarity thereby to achieve rapid slewing of the voltage across the load. In another embodiment a fixed power source may be connected in series with the first power source so that the slewing of voltage across the load occurs above a given reference level. The first and second sources are driven in a complementary fashion so that the sum of their instantaneous output voltages is always constant and equal to the individual maximum voltage which each may obtain. Since the slewed sources comprise a high voltage bilateral system, feedback may be utilized for stability and accuracy.

    • An elastomeric helicopter rotor having a blade mounted for universal motion about the intersection of the blade pitch change, flapping and lead-lag axes and including blade coning and droop stops, including a ring member rotatably mounted about the pitch change axis on the blade and coning and droop stops constituting segments of circular members whose centers lie on the blade lead-lag axes and with the ring member and coning stop and droop stop members presenting mating surfaces to one another so that as the blade moves in lead-lag motion while the blade ring member is in line or surface mating contact with either the coning stop surface or the static or dynamic droop stop surfaces, a relative rotation will be established therebetween for full support of the blade throughout the lead-lag motion, without affecting blade pitch angle or flapping angle, without preventing independent blade pitch change, and without scuffing of parts.
