    • A hydrostatic transmission with a closed hydraulic circuit includes a consumer which is connected through work lines to a reversible hydraulic pump and is pressurized on both sides by an external pressure source. The hydraulic circuit includes a first continuous rinsing and feeding circuit which depends on the leakage flow of the hydraulic pump and possibly a second discontinuous rinsing circuit separate from the first circuit and connected to the external pressure source. The hydrostatic transmission further includes an adjustable regulating device which determines through a valve the adjustment of the hydraulic pump. The regulating device, which may be arranged outside of the immediate vicinity of the hydrostatic transmission, interacts with a control device which is directly assigned to the hydrostatic transmission and includes a valve constructed as a servo valve, wherein, for adjusting the arrangement, the servo valve can be switched to manual control. A manually operable lock valve is provided between the servo valve and the hydraulic pump adjustment. The throttles used for pressurization are adjustable as well as lockable and the work lines are equipped with pick-ups for the actual pressure value.

    • A shearing machine for trimming flat material, particularly sheets and strips of metal, includes a rotary blade shear with rotary blade shafts which support the rotary blades and are mounted in an upper blade housing and a lower blade housing. For adjusting the blade gap and the blade overlap in dependence on the material thickness and the material strength, a transverse eccentric is mounted between the upper and lower shear housings so as to connect these housings. The shearing machine further includes a center cut shear with rotary blade shafts which support the rotary blades and are mounted in an upper blade housing and lower blade housing, a frame supporting the center cut shear, and a blade gap adjusting device with a reversible transverse eccentric, wherein the blade gap adjusting device is mounted between the frame and the upper rotary blade of the center cut shear and acts with its transverse eccentric on the end of the movably constructed upper blade housing at the side of the blade.

Each bending jaw includes a pair of partial bending jaws which can be moved independently of each other and in opposite directions, wherein the pressure contact surfaces of each partial bending jaw corresponds to one or the other bending direction.

    • A roll stand for a pair of work rolls includes a housing with two side walls arranged on a common base plate. A cube-shaped receiving space which is open toward the top and toward two sides and is provided with guide surfaces for an insertable roll cassette is formed between the side walls. The insertable roll cassette of the roll stand includes two side plates which extend parallel to each other and are spaced at a distance from each other. The outer sides of the side plates are guided by the guide surfaces of the side walls. The side plates form guide means for two pairs of chocks which receive the work rolls with the bearings of the rolls. A pair each of interacting chocks are connected by means of adjusting spindles which absorb rolling forces, wherein the distance between chocks is adjustable so as to produce pre-adjustable passes. The adjusting spindles include adjusting collars and the side plates have adjusting pieces which are compatible with the adjusting collars. The adjusting collars and the adjusting pieces are in engagement with each other and serve to secure the spindles in axial direction to the roll center. The side plates are connected to each other by means of spacer members extending transversely of the side plates, so that a rigid cassette is formed by the spacer members and the side plates.

    • A method of guiding a steel strip during its passage through a continuous strip treatment plant equipped with a series of treatment stations, wherein the travel direction and/or travel track of the strip can be adjusted as desired and/or the strip is turned over as desired for making it possible to carry out a visual inspection of the strip. An arrangement for carrying out the method includes a strip turning tower constructed with a plurality of upper and lower strip guide rollers arranged vertically spaced apart from each other, wherein the rollers are turned in travel direction of the strip from roller to roller in the same direction relative to the strip inlet axis by angle values which add up to 180.degree., such that the strip is twisted by a partial angle value as it travels through a pair of rollers formed by an upper and a lower roller, and the strip is turned from the bottom side thereof and vice versa when the sum of all twisting angle values is 180.degree..
