    • A shower bar is provided for secure but removable attachment to a surface, such as a wall in a shower or bath area. The shower bar has a support bar connected to a pair of mechanically activated suction cup assemblies and a pivotal activator arm that operatively engages the suction cup assemblies to hold the shower bar to the surface of the wall or release it therefrom. The support bar has a channel that receives the activator arm therein when the shower bar is secured against the surface. Each of the suction cup assemblies has a cup housing that seals against a suction member to define a suction chamber in the cup housing. Pivot pins at the ends of the activator arm connect to activation rods that operatively engage the cup housing against the suction member. An arm release hole is provided to release the shower bar from the surface.

    • A mounting assembly for a discharge conduit of a medical treatment device, such as a dialysis machine. The mounting assembly has a connector member detachably engageable with a discharge nozzle of a discharge conduit and a suction cup that can be mounted on a rim of a waste receptor, such as a sink or a toilet bow. To ensure proper orientation of the discharge outlet above an opening of a waste receptor, the mounting assembly provides for a rigid securing clamp that engages the discharge nozzle and hooks to a rim, or under a rim of the waste receptor. The mounting assembly supports the discharge nozzle directly above the opening of the waste receptor, thereby facilitating discharge of the liquid waste directly into a municipal sewage line.

    • A cutting tool securing apparatus for temporarily securing a tool such as a vegetable slicing tool to a planar member such as a table or countertop. The invention removes the necessity of permanently mounting the tool or mounting apparatus to the table or countertop. The cutting tool securing apparatus of the present invention has no moving, adjustable or articulating members. The apparatus is comprised of an L-shaped metal plate, to which a tool-mounting apparatus is bolted. The metal plate includes a first member, which is removably affixed to the top of a planar surface, such as a table, via temporary securing means. One or more rubber suction cups are the preferred type of temporary securing means. The suction cups are affixed to the lower surface of the plate. The cups serve to secure the apparatus to the planar surface yet allow the apparatus to later be removed in order to clean the area. The apparatus also includes a second member, substantially perpendicular to the first member that is adaptable to be wrapped around downwardly extending edge of the table to prevent the tool from sliding laterally forward or backward during use.
