摘要： A public location individual audio delivery device and method allows individual access and control to audio associated with a visual presentation within a public location. The device includes a display located in a public location. A receiver is coupled to the display and receives video for presentation on the display. The receiver receives audio associated to the video. A transmitter is coupled to the display and is communicatively coupled to the receiver. The transmitter transmits the audio associated to the video as an audio signal through a personal access network within the public location. At least one personal audio device is positioned within the public location accessing and receiving the audio signal through the personal access network wherein the audio associated to the video is played on the personal audio device.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a system that allows a user to preset a desired TV program for unattended recording by use of a PDA. A PDA acquires from a TV program information service provider TV program information by which to preset a desired TV program to be recorded unattended. When the user selects relevant TV information about the desired program, the PDA sends to a personal computer the information for presetting the TV program of interest for subsequent unattended recording. Based on the preset information sent from the PDA, the personal computer presets the specified TV program to be recorded unattended.

摘要： Disclosed are systems and methods for wirelessly recording multi-track audio files without the data corruption or loss of data that typically occurs with wireless data transmission. In some aspects of the present invention, each performer is equipped with a local audio device capable of locally recording the respective performer's audio while also transmitting it to a master recorder. The locally recorded audio may then be used to repair or replace any audio lost or corrupted during transmission to the master recorder. Such repair or replacement may be performed electronically or via playback of the locally recorded audio. In other aspects of the present invention, a master recorder is not required since all locally recorded audio may be combined or otherwise processed post-recording. Locally recorded audio may include identifiers to aid in post-recording identification of such audio. A multi-memory unit is also provided to facilitate manipulation and processing of audio files.

摘要： A method and system for managing multiple user locks and deletion requests on a digital video recorder (DVR) is disclosed. Files associated with the DVR can be protected from deletion by allowing users to lock a recorded file utilizing a number of locking strategies. The recorded file can also be locked by multiple users and the recording can be deleted when the users specifically remove the lock. A simpler interface for each user can be provided to prevent other users from deleting recorded files, which have not yet been viewed. Such an approach allows for an administrative override to prevent users from locking recordings and never unlocking in order to prevent the DVR exhausting disk space.

The mobile communication device receives analog radio broadcast signals and analog radio data system information signals corresponding to the analog radio broadcast signals. A radio application extracts radio data system information in response to users selecting a record operation, creates a file name from the extracted radio data system information, and stores radio content corresponding to the extracted radio data system information in response to the user selecting the record operation. The radio application further monitors the radio data system information for pre-defined criteria and sends alerts to the user upon detecting the pre-defined criteria. In response to selecting the record operation, the radio application further enables users to rewind the stored radio content by a pre-determined amount and append buffered radio content to a beginning of the stored radio content.

In particular, an electronic device can compare media from a locally stored or accessed media library with media items provided as part of radio streams received by the device. The electronic device can further access a remote database of a large number of users' libraries, and receive recommendations based on the media items common to the user's library, other users' libraries, and radio broadcasts. This approach allows the electronic device to provide recommendations without requiring any monitoring of the user's listening habits or receiving preference information from the user.
