    • The present invention is an eyeglass device that has manually variable prisms to correct Strabismus; that is, double vision. Variable prism glasses allow the doctor or patient to adjust the prism power to the minimum required at a particular time and no more. They also allow adjustment of the prisms so that they work the weak eye muscles. In time the weak muscles may become strong enough so that prism glasses are no longer needed. The present invention has numerous embodiments. The medical profession can treat Strabismus, also called Convergence Insufficiency (CI), both actively and passively. The active treatment provides the doctor with a varied range of therapeutic options. The doctor has the ability to change the treatment program as often as necessary without the interruption of ordering new glasses because the present invention changes to meet the needs of the patient. When the invention is used in a passive fashion, it allows the patient to manually adjust the prism strength without removing the eyeglasses.

    • The prism glasses include movable prism lenses and, optionally. detachable temples. The movable lenses permit the user to alter the viewing angle from substantially 90 degrees downward to substantially 90 degrees upward. The glasses include a planar frame plate, a bridge, a forward outboard face and view ports therethrough. Two prisms, one for each view port, transmit the image. Prism frames have mounting elements for attachment and detachment to complementary mount elements on the frame. The mounts permit either rotation or removal and re-insertion on the frame. In a first mode of operation, the prism transmits a 90 degrees image. The prism mounts cooperate with the complementary frame mounts and the prism lenses can be (a) removed and re-positioned at a 180 degrees position or (b) moved 180 degrees from the downward 90 degree viewpoint to an upward 90 degree viewpoint to the second operational mode.

    • An optical device for providing prescription correction to a mirror so that a person who normally wears prescription glasses may clearly see, and also have unobstructed access to, their face in order to apply makeup. A magnifying lens in the form of an eyeglass blank of an appropriate corrective power is removably attached to the mirror by means of a suction cup and a hook element. The magnifying lens has a hole joining its two refracting surfaces. One end of the hook element fits through the hole and the other end of the hook element is attached to the suction cup. The lens situated in close proximity to the mirror provides a user who normally wears prescription eyeglasses with the appropriate corrective power to enable them to clearly see their face while providing good working room for them to perform tasks such as applying their makeup.

    • A pair of spectacles for providing a redirected view includes a visor configured to support a pair of triangular optical prisms attached to the bottom surface of the visor in front of a wearer's eyes.
