摘要： The invention relates to a method for forming a hydraulically bound web. A homogeneous mixture of wood pulp and synthetic fibers is blown on a forming surface. The web has a mixture of at least 70% wood pulp by weight of the mixture. The web is subjected to hydraulic bonding to form a stable fabric. The web is further heated to a temperature to cause partial melting of the synthetic fibers and further bonding of the fabric.

摘要： A non-woven fabric of hot-melt-adhesive composite fibers having a specified small weight per unit area and soft feeling is provided which fibers are obtained by forming a fiber aggregate consisting of hot-melt-adhesive composite fibers of a specified fineness, alone, composed of as a first component, a polyethylene resin composition (C) consisting of (A) a straight chain, low density polyethylene and (B) another kind of polyethylene, in a specified proportion, and having a specified density and a specified ratio of its melt indexes after and before spinning, and as a second component, a fiber-formable polymer having a m.p. higher than those of either of the polyethylenes constituting the first component, the first component constituting at least a part of the fiber surface of the composite fibers continuously in the longitudinal direction thereof, or a fiber aggregate of a specified average fineness which is mixed fibers of the composite fibers with other fibers of a specified fineness; and subjecting either one of the fiber aggregates to heat treatment at a specified temperature.

摘要： Nonwoven webs having excellent fluid handling characteristics are disclosed. The nonwoven webs are made from a combination of binder fibers and structure fibers. The structure fibers are made from multicomponent, hollow fibers. The structure fibers include first polymer component zones that alternate with second polymer component zones around the circumference of the fiber. The first polymer component zone is made from a polymer having a lower melting temperature than the polymer contained in the second polymer component zone. In this manner, the fibers have a three-dimensional conformation that produces significant void volume within the nonwoven web.

The crimped filaments of the spunbond nonwoven layers are multicomponent filaments, particularly bicomponent filaments, with a first plastic component and a second plastic component present in the respective filament in a proportion of at least 10 wt %.
