    • An apparatus for lifting, lowering, supporting, positioning and transporting a tire is provided and includes a first generally horizontal frame member manufactured from a first predetermined material and having a first predetermined size and a first predetermined shape. A first generally vertical frame member has a first end and a second end and is manufactured from a second predetermined material and has a second predetermined size and a second predetermined shape. The first end of such first generally vertical frame member is operably connected to the first generally horizontal frame member at at least one predetermined location thereon. A pair of arm members each have a first end and a second end and are manufactured from a third predetermined material and have a third predetermined size and a third predetermined shape. The first ends of such arm members are adjustably connectable to the first generally horizontal frame member at predetermined locations thereon.

    • A hydraulic wheel system is provided which comprises a disc, a first piston, a wheel, a tire, a dismount button, and a wheel mounting member. The disc is provided with a first cylinder and a second cylinder communicating with each other. The first piston is slidably disposed within the first cylinder. The wheel is coupled to the disc so that a rotational force of the disc is transmitted to the wheel. The dismount button is configured to move the first piston. The wheel mounting member is provided in the disc. A second piston that is slidably disposed within the second cylinder is integrated with the wheel mounting member. The wheel mounting member is elastically supported by an elastic member in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction, and it is configured to be selectively connected to the wheel in response to a movement thereof.

    • This invention is a tire-changing device which is used for engaging then stripping the tire from rims of wheels. The device is used in combination with a workbench and stores under the bench when not in use. A threaded rod is raised above the bench top when the tire changer is in use. Mobility for the threaded rod is provided by having it slidably engage a sleeve which, in turn, is coupled to the bench. A friction pad is employed which rests on the bench and through which the threaded rod passes. A restraining hub through which the rod passes engages the hub of the wheel. A torque nut holds the hub firmly in place, thereby securing the wheel between the restraining hub and the friction pad. A double headed tool is provided which engages the rim of the tire. A first head is contoured to assist in engaging the bead of the tire to the rim and a second head is for the purpose of stripping the tire from the rim.

    • A substantially flat plate is positioned on a rim, which has a large central opening and no lug holes, to enable a tire to be mounted thereon or dismounted therefrom by a tire changer requiring a rim to have lug holes around the central opening to hold the rim. The flat plate has its length selected so that its opposite ends rest on an annular portion of the rim. The opposite ends of the flat plate have substantially the same curve as the annular portion of the rim on which they rest. The flat plate has a central circular opening to receive a threaded shaft of the tire changer supporting the rim. A hollow tube extends downwardly from the bottom surface of the flat plate adjacent the central opening for disposition over a positioning pin of the tire changer on which the rim is supported. When a hold down cone of the tire changer is manually threaded on the threaded shaft of the tire changer extending through the central opening of the flat plate, the outer surface of the cone bears against the upper edge of the central opening in the flat plate to hold it against the rim to retain the rim against the tire changer. The hollow tube cooperates with the positioning pin to prevent rotation of the rim, the tire, and the flat plate when forces are applied by the tire changer to the side walls of the tire to dismount the tire from the rim or to mount the tire on the rim.
