摘要： A carrier gas recovery system for use in cold spray manufacturing recovers carrier gas utilized during the cold spray process and recycles the carrier gas for immediate use or stores the carrier gas for future use. The carrier gas recovery system includes an enclosure subsystem, a filtration subsystem, a reclamation subsystem, and a compensation subsystem. An article is placed in the enclosure and particulate matter is carried to the article on a carrier gas stream. Carrier gas in the enclosure is filtered through the filtration subsystem to remove particulate from the carrier gas, and the filtered carrier gas is fed to the reclamation subsystem. The carrier gas either flows to a gas separator, to increase the concentration of carrier gas, or to the compensation subsystem if the carrier gas concentration is sufficiently high. The carrier gas can be stored in the compensation subsystem or used in further cold spray manufacturing.

A viscous, solidifyable liquid composition is deposited on a construction area where it is exposed to a solidifying medium to form a physical object that is attached to a build platform above and parallel to the construction zone. The powder is processed through the two-valve system. The method comprises: valve 1 is closed and powder accumulates; valve2 is closed also; after valve 1 opens, powder goes through (there is no air backflow), then valve 1 closes; then valve 2 opens and allows powder onto a powder applicator; then valve 2 closes; then the cycle starts again.

摘要： The present disclosure provides additive manufacturing apparatuses and maintenance methods. For example, in one embodiment an additive manufacturing apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a reservoir configured to contain additive manufacturing material and a supply conduit for interconnecting the reservoir with a print head. The apparatus further includes a regulator configured to control pressure of additive manufacturing material in the print head to trigger purging of the print head and an air-ink separator configured to receive a mixture of air and purged additive manufacturing material. The air-ink separator is configured to reclaim at least a portion of the additive manufacturing material from the mixture. The apparatus may further include a return conduit interconnecting the air-ink separator with the reservoir for circulating back the reclaimed additive manufacturing material to the reservoir to enable the reclaimed additive manufacturing material to be utilized for manufacturing a three-dimensional object.
