    • A process for blow-molding a container, the container having a handle, whereby the process includes the steps of: (i) introducing a preform into a mold cavity and stretching the preform with a stretch rod; (ii) increasing the pressure within the preform so that the preform expands within the mold cavity in a first blowing step, the pressure in the first blowing step is from 1 to 10 bar; (iii) inwardly moving jaws within the mold cavity so that the expanding preform is partially gripped between the jaws in the handle region; (iv) subsequently increasing the pressure within the preform wherein the maximum pressure in the second blowing step is greater than 10 bar, so that the preform expands to the limits of the mold cavity in a second blowing step to form a container; and wherein the inward movement of the jaws is completed within the first blowing step.

    • It is disclosed a plate for a mould station to form a flanged hollow plastic container by shaping a flat billet, the plate comprising a base, a frame, an outer core to form a container of a first size and an inner core to form a container of a second size, smaller than the first size, wherein the frame is integral with the base and wherein the frame defines a frame upper surface; wherein the outer core, in a first configuration, is held elastically with its upper surface flush with the frame upper surface and, in a second moulding configuration, is held with its upper surface recessed with respect to the frame upper surface; wherein the inner core, in a first configuration, is held elastically with its upper surface flush with the frame upper surface and, in a second moulding configuration, is held with its upper surface recessed with respect to the frame upper surface; and wherein a retention system is provided to retain said billet substantially adhering to at least the upper surface of the inner core.

    • A mold unit has first and second parts, each with a plurality of cooperating cavity portions. The mold unit further has similarly interconnected third and fourth mold parts. An operating system moves the mold parts to change the mold unit between first and second states. The first and third mold parts meet at a fixed, first parting line to define a first plurality of mold cavities, and the second and third mold parts meet at a fixed, second parting line to define a second plurality of cavities with the mold unit in the first state. In the second state, molded products formed from the parisons can be released from their cavities.
