摘要： A saturated hydroentangled fibrous web which includes fibers and a saturant. The fibers include from about 20 to 100 percent by weight, based on the total weight of the fibers, of cellulosic fibers, and from 0 to about 70 percent by weight, based on the total weight of the fibers, of mercerized cellulosic fibers. From about 80 to 0 percent by weight of the fibers, based on the total weight of the fibers, are synthetic polymer fibers. Finally, at least 10 percent by weight of the fibers are mercerized cellulosic fibers, synthetic polymer fibers, or a mixture thereof. The saturant is present in the saturated fibrous web at a level of from about 25 to about 100 percent, based on the dry weight of the fibers. When synthetic polymer fibers are present in the web, the saturant may be adapted to wet synthetic polymer fibers. A second layer composed of a bonded nonwoven web may be present. Also provided is a method of preparing the saturated hydroentangled fibrous web.

摘要： A flushable moist wipe or hygiene tissue including a hydraulically entangled nonwoven material impregnated with a wetting composition. The nonwoven material contains at least 70%, by fibre weight, pulp fibres and the rest manmade fibres and/or natural fibres with a length of at least 6 mm. The moist wipe or hygiene tissue has a length in the machine direction which exceeds the width in the cross-machine direction with at least 25%. The moist wipe or hygiene tissue has a wet strength in machine direction which is at least 3 times higher than the wet strength in cross-machine direction, wherein the wet strength in cross-machine direction is between 50 and 200 N/m.

The partially split multicomponent fibers have at least one component of the multicomponent fiber separated from the remaining components of the multicomponent fiber along a first section of the longitudinal length of the multicomponent fibers. An interlining layer contains pulp fibers, first and second surfacing layers contain non-fusible fibers, and a reinforcing layer contains fusible fibers and rayon fibers. The fusible fibers are fusion-bonded but the non-fusible fibers remain unfused. Sheet surfaces are free from the fusible fibers.

摘要： An apparatus and method for manufacturing a multi-layer web product. A long fiber stream is directed around a rotating carding cylinder. Two combing cylinders are disposed adjacent the carding cylinder to comb a first web of long fiber and a second web of long fiber, respectively, from the carding cylinder. A first conveyor receives the first web from the first combing cylinder and transports the first web toward a layering point. Similarly, a second conveyor receives the second web from the second combing cylinder and transports the second web toward the layering point. A short fiber deposition unit is disposed adjacent the second conveyor and deposits short fibers onto the second web. At the layering point, the first conveyor deposits the first web onto the second web, with the short fibers sandwiched therebetween, to form a layered web product.
