    • A network node of a telecommunications network controlled by a link-state protocol includes a network interface which receives a message that contains information on a change in topology of the network. The node includes a processing unit that blocks forwarding of traffic to at least one neighbor node of the network at the network interface, agrees on the change in topology with the neighbor node; and unblocks the forwarding of traffic when the neighbor node has information about the topology which is the same as the information about the topology in a memory. A transient loop prevention method of a network node of a network having a plurality of a network nodes controlled by a link-state protocol includes the steps of receiving a message at a network interface which contains information on a change in topology of the network. There is the step of blocking forwarding of traffic to each neighbor node of the network at the network interface by a processing unit. There is the step of agreeing by the processing unit on the change in topology with the neighbor node. There is the step of unblocking the forwarding of traffic when the neighbor node has information about the topology which is the same as the information about the topology stored in a memory.

    • In general, techniques are described for atomically installing and withdrawing host routes along paths connecting network routers to attenuate packet loss for mobile nodes migrating among wireless LAN access networks and a mobile network. In some examples, whenever the mobile node moves from one attachment point to the next, it triggers the distribution of its host route from the new attachment point toward the service provider network hub provider edge (PE) router that anchors the mobile node on a service provider network. Routers participating in the Mobile VPN install the host route “atomically” from the attachment point to the mobile gateway so as to ensure convergence of the network forwarding plane with the host route toward the new attachment point prior to transitioning mobile node connectivity from a previous attachment point.

    • The disclosure relates to the mesh network technology, and in particular, to a network node and a method for establishing a path and transmitting data. A method for establishing a network path is provided in an embodiment of the present invention. The method includes: receiving a gateway notification forwarded by a node with a trunk path and setting up a routing request timer; sending a routing request that contains information about whether a path is the trunk path after the routing request timer times out; receiving a route reply that is generated by the gateway after receiving the routing request from the gateway through the trunk path. In addition, a network node for implementing the method is provided in an embodiment of the present invention.

    • A method of MPLS network traffic switching is provided herein. The method includes these steps: receiving a message indicative of creating a new LSP successfully, and generating a new uplink forwarding entry and a new downlink forwarding entry according to the message; storing the new uplink forwarding entry, and configuring the new downlink forwarding entry; configuring the new uplink forwarding entry upon completion of configuring the new downlink forwarding entry; and forwarding the traffic according to the new uplink forwarding entry and the new downlink forwarding entry. By ensuring the sequence of processing the events in the traffic switching process, the method reduces the probability of traffic interruption in the traffic switching process. A network node device for implementing MPLS network traffic switching is also provided herein.
