摘要： A system and method are provided for managing energy usage that includes obtaining an allocated power value associated with a predetermined time period, metering at least one of consumed power and corresponding consumed energy to determine a consumed power value and a consumed energy value and prompting for a reduced load condition when the consumed power value exceeds the allocated power value. The system and method may further include obtaining a line voltage value, comparing the line voltage value to a threshold voltage value, and obtaining energy saving parameters that define a reduced voltage value. A reduced power value that corresponds to the reduced voltage value may be supplied, the reduced power value being supplied when the line voltage value exceeds the threshold voltage value.

摘要： A respiratory treatment apparatus provides respiratory treatment with improved power management control to permit more efficient power consumption and power supply units, such as battery powered operation. In one embodiment, power management prioritizes the flow generator (104) over other accessories such as the heating elements (111, 135) of a humidifier (112) and/or a delivery tube. The flow generator may control operations of the heating elements as a function of a detected respiratory cycle. For example, the timing of operation of the heating elements may be interleaved with the portion of an inspiratory phase of the respiratory cycle to permit the flow generator to operate during a peak power operation without a power drain or with a lower power drain from these components. Operations of distinct sets of components of the system (e.g., different heating elements) may also be interleaved to prevent simultaneous peak power operations.

摘要： A method, system, and information handling system provides better system power consumption of a redundant power system having a plurality of power supply units (PSUs) by taking into consideration each PSU's sleep power consumption during selection of one or more PSUs to place into a “hot spare” sleep mode. For each PSU, power efficiency data at different load ratings are measured and stored. During the PSU selection, a calculation of system power consumption is conducted on each of several configurations where a different PSU is hypothetically disabled. Each calculation takes into consideration both the sleep power consumption of a disabled PSU and power efficiency data of an enabled PSU. Selection of one or more PSUs to disable is determined according to the configuration yielding the lower or lowest system input power consumption based on the results of the calculations.
