    • An assembly for interacting with a circuit breaker operating mechanism of a circuit breaker, the assembly including an accessory device, an actuator, and a compliant device. The accessory device includes a plunger configured for movement between a retracted position and a protruded position. The actuator includes a first free end and a second free end, the second free end configured for mechanical cooperation with the plunger. The compliant device is disposed intermediate the operating mechanism and the actuator, the compliant device is configured for mechanical cooperation with the second free end of the actuator. A force is applied from the operating mechanism to the accessory device, the force for resetting the accessory device is transmitted from the operating mechanism to the compliant device, from the compliant device to the actuator, and from the actuator to the plunger for resetting the plunger from the protruded position to the retracted position.

    • A circuit breaker comprises a pair of separable contacts arranged in an opening volume. A plurality of flat de-ionization fins are arranged inside an arc extinguishing chamber opening out onto the opening volume. The chamber is bounded by two opposite side walls, a rear wall located away from the opening volume, a bottom wall and a top wall. Each fin has a free attack edge exposed to the arc. The free edges of the fins laterally bound a longitudinal gulley extending in a heightwise direction from the bottom electrode to the top wall, and longitudinally from a first longitudinal end opening out onto the opening volume at a second longitudinal end tapering to form a stack near to the rear wall, passing via a narrow intermediate portion. A bottom longitudinal electrode partially covers the bottom wall and extends longitudinally facing the gulley at least from the second contact up to the stack.

    • A neutral pole for a multipole circuit breaker is disclosed. The circuit breaker includes a housing, a plurality of contact arms for opening and closing an electrical circuit, and an operating mechanism for driving the contact arms. The neutral pole includes a neutral housing, a conduction path within the neutral housing having a neutral arm arranged to open and close the conduction path, a bias spring configured to exert a first bias moment on the neutral arm when the conduction path is closed, a spring support configured to support the bias spring, a rotor pivotally arranged within the neutral housing and configured to displace the neutral arm and to open the conduction path, and a drive pin configured to couple the rotor to the multipole circuit breaker. The spring support is fixedly arranged at the neutral housing. The rotor is responsive to the opening and closing action of the operating mechanism of the multipole circuit breaker.

    • An apparatus and method for analyzing an apparatus, typically an electrical distribution system is provided. The apparatus and method is particularly useful for analyzing selective electrical distribution systems. The apparatus is generally a software system including a solver system for generating an output from an input presented to the solver system. The input is a mathematical representation of at least a portion of the electrical distribution system. In one embodiment, the input is presented to a model within the solver system. The model represents at least a portion of the electrical distribution system. The software system is capable of interfacing output data from one or more models with additional models for analyzing generally how devices within an electrical distribution system behave under certain conditions.

    • A circuit breaker assembly includes first and second rotary contact assemblies mountable to a base member, a circuit breaker operating mechanism mounted to the first rotary contact assembly, and a trip bar in mechanical communication with the first rotary contact assembly and the circuit breaker operating mechanism. The rotary contact assemblies each include rotors rotatable about axes therethrough and movable contact arms pivotally mounted within the rotors. The circuit breaker operating mechanism serves to position the rotors to separate movable contacts thereon from fixed contacts. A trip override device includes spring links operably connected via springs to each of the rotors of the rotary contact assemblies and the trip bar. The trip bar comprises trip levers protruding radially therefrom and being in mechanical communication with the rotary contact assemblies.
