摘要： An expansion turbine including: a stator, a rotor facing the stator, a short pipe, a shaft rotatably mounted in the short pipe and removably connected to the rotor. The shaft is extractable from the short pipe from the side opposite said rotor. The turbine includes devices removably connecting the rotor to the shaft having a handling portion at a rotor front face. A front static seal, between the rotor and stator, at a radially inner position with respect to an expansion volume between the stator and rotor. The front static seal is mobile between a first position at which a passage is cleared between the stator and the rotor in fluid communication with the expansion volume, and a second position which seals the passage and isolates the expansion volume from a space for access to said handling portion. The front static seal may variable geometry and be an inflatable gasket.

摘要： Embodiments of a gas turbine engine component having sealed stress relief slots are provided, as are embodiments of a gas turbine engine containing such a component and embodiments of a method for fabricating such a component. In one embodiment, the gas turbine engine includes a core gas flow path, a secondary cooling flow path, and a turbine nozzle or other gas turbine engine component. The component includes, in turn, a component body through which the core gas flow path extends, a radially-extending wall projecting from the component body and into the secondary cooling flow path, and one or more stress relief slots formed in the radially-extending wall. The stress relief slots are filled with a high temperature sealing material, which impedes leakage between the second cooling and core gas flow paths and which fractures to alleviate thermomechanical stress within the radially-extending wall during operation of the gas turbine engine.

摘要： A compressor housing defines an inlet bore having a first inlet collar disposed therein. The inlet collar is connected to the housing with a first plurality of radially extending posts. The first plurality of posts is removed to detach the inlet collar from the housing, and the inlet collar is removed from the housing. The same or another inlet collar is concentrically located within a liner. The liner can be located at a radial distance around at least a portion of the inlet collar. The inlet collar is connected to the liner by radially inserting a second plurality of posts through the liner and into the inlet collar. An assembly of the liner containing the inlet collar is inserted into the inlet bore of the housing such that the inlet collar forms the inducer bore of the compressor housing.

摘要： The disclosure relates to a radially fed axial steam turbine with a cold inlet duct, axially displaced from a hot inlet duct such that is it further away from a first blade row than the hot inlet duct. The cold inlet duct receives a cold steam from a cold inlet spiral and directs it into the hot inlet duct in such a way that a boundary layer of cold steam is formed over the rotor circumferential surface between the outlet end of the cold inlet duct and the blade and vane rows. The rotor circumferential surface is also adapted to promote and maintain the boundary layer. In this way, a maximum temperature to which the rotor is exposed can be reduced.

摘要： The radiator cooling fan replacement to increase engine efficiency is a multi-stage centrifugal air pump supercharger that replaces the radiator fan while at the same time increases air density of its output air. The centrifugal air pump comprises a number of radial air chambers. Each air chamber includes a number of rotating blades. The rotating blades apply a centrifugal force to the air increasing the density of the air. The density of the air gradually increases as the air moves from one chamber to the next until it is forced out of the centrifugal air pump to the engine block. Before entering the engine block, the compressed air from the air pump passes through an air filter that cools the air.
