摘要： A flame retarding and smoke suppressing additive powder that can be mixed with resins includes a carbonific material, a heat activated blowing agent, a heat activated halogen material, a phosphate material, and an inorganic material. The additive powder, when added to a curable or hardenable resin, forms a mixture where the additive powder is about 20-30%, by weight, of the mixture. The resin can be styrenic, olefinic, acrylic, cellulosic, polyester, or polyamide such as are commonly used in the manufacture of fiberglass reinforced structures and moldable plastics.

摘要： A hydrogel forming system which comprises a hydrophobic macromer with unsaturated group terminated ends and a hydrophilic polymer which is a polysaccharide containing hydroxy groups which are reacted with unsaturated group introducing compound, is convertible by free radical polymerization to form a hydrogel containing a three dimensional crosslinked polymer network containing hydrophobic and hydrophilic components. Agent can be entrapped in the polymer network, e.g., drugs, macromolecules or synthetic or natural polymers, for controlled release therefrom. In one embodiment, a vascular stent is coated with hydrogel with therapeutic agent entrapped therein.

摘要： A coating composition that can be used in a process for coating a substrate where in a first step a radiation curable coating composition is applied to the substrate and/or a radiation permeable film. Next, the substrate and the film are pressed together in such a way that the coating composition is sandwiched between them. Thereafter, the coating composition is cured by irradiation through the film to obtain a coated substrate. In a subsequent step, the film is removed from the coated substrate. The coating composition applied to the film and/or the substrate is a hot melt composition comprising 20 to 100 wt. % of a radiation curable resin or mixture of radiation curable resins having a viscosity in the range of from 15 to 10,000 mPanulls in the temperature range of from 40 to 150null C.

The inventive method is further characterized in that a dispersion or emulsion is used as the UV-curing coating agent for forming the anti-corrosive coating that substantially consist of 25 to 80 wt.-% binder, 1 to 8 wt.-% photoinitiations, 0 to 5 wt.-% additives, 20 to 70 wt.-% water, and optionally a pigment. The coating agent is applied on the sheet metal, preferably in an inline method, dried to form a film and cured by UV light.
