Bar connectors may be used to add horizontal mounting bars to change the shape of the rack. Safety straps and safety strap holders may be used in addition to the attachment devices to secure the rack to the vehicle. A bicycle wheel mount may be used to store a front bicycle tire on the bicycle during vehicle transportation.
