摘要： Methods of casting a component including one or more surface cooling channels. The method including casting a ceramic core into a flexible mold of a core section and casting a ceramic shell in at least two sections into respective flexible molds of a first shell section and a second shell section. A ceramic casting vessel is subsequently formed by assembling the ceramic core within the ceramic shell sections. A metal substrate material is cast into the ceramic casting vessel. Removal of the ceramic casting vessel reveals a substrate of the component having defined therein the interior passageway, the one or more cooling passages in fluidic communication with the interior passageway and one or more surface grooves in fluidic communication with the one or more cooling passages.

摘要： A high-strength magnesium alloy member is suitable for products in which at least one of bending stress and twisting stress primarily acts. The member has required elongation and 0.2% proof stress, whereby strength and formability are superior, and has higher strength and large compressive residual stress in the vicinity of the surface of a wire rod. In the magnesium alloy member formed as a wire rod in which at least one of bending stress and twisting stress primarily acts, the wire rod includes a surface portion having the highest hardness of 170 HV or more in the vicinity of the surface and an inner portion having a 0.2% proof stress of 550 MPa or more and an elongation of 5% or more, and the wire rod has the highest compressive residue stress in the vicinity of the surface of 50 MPa or more.

摘要： The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a composite double-metal fracture splitting connecting rod, comprising the steps of: providing a moveable spacer at a large end of a mold cavity of a connecting rod, to divide the mold cavity into two separate parts; casting a connecting rod body and a connecting rod cap with material for the main body of the connecting rod; removing the spacer from the mold cavity when the majority of the material is solidified, then injecting material for a fracture splitting region into an empty mold cavity obtained after the removal of the spacer, and metallurgically bonding the two types of material to form a composite double-metal casting; then, separating the connecting rod body from the connecting rod cap by a fracture splitting apparatus along preset fracture surfaces; and positioning and accurately assembling through engaged staggered structures on the two fracture surfaces.

The plurality of engaging portions is respectively embedded in the plurality of receiving grooves, and the plurality of matching portions is respectively embedded in the plurality of latching grooves. The present disclosure further provides a manufacturing method for the metallic housing.

摘要： A magnesium alloy having high ductility and high toughness, and a preparation method thereof are provided, in which the magnesium alloy includes 1.0-3.5 wt % of tin, 0.05-3.0 wt % of zinc, and the balance of magnesium and inevitable impurities, and a preparation method thereof. Magnesium alloy with a relatively small tin content is added with zinc, and optionally, with one or more alloy elements selected from aluminum, manganese and rare earth metal, at a predetermined content ratio. As a result, the alloy exhibits superior ductility and moderate strength due to the suppression of excessive formation of precipitates and some precipitates hardening effect, respectively. Accordingly, compared to extruded material prepared from conventional commercial magnesium alloys, higher ductility and toughness are provided, so that the alloy can be widely applied over the entire industries including automotive and aerospace industries.

摘要： Provided are a magnesium-based alloy and a manufacturing method thereof. In the method, a magnesium alloy is melted into liquid phase, and an alkaline earth metal oxide is added into a molten magnesium alloy. The alkaline earth metal oxide is exhausted through surface reduction reaction between the melt and the alkaline earth metal oxide. Alkaline earth metal produced by the exhaustion reacts with Mg and/or other alloying elements in the magnesium alloy so that an intermetallic compound is formed. The magnesium prepared by the method is excellent in fluidity and hot-tearing resistance. To this end, the alkaline earth metal oxide added is CaO, and the added amount of CaO is 1.4 to 1.7 times the target weight of Ca to be contained in the final Mg alloy.

摘要： The present invention provides a casting having increased crashworthiness including an aluminum alloy of about 6.0 wt % to about 8.0 wt % Si; about 0.12 wt % to about 0.25 wt % Mg; less than or equal to about 0.35 wt % Cu; less than or equal to about 4.0 wt % Zn; less than or equal to about 0.6 wt % Mn; and less than or equal to about 0.15 wt % Fe, wherein the cast body is treated to a T5 or T6 temper and has a tensile strength ranging from 100 MPa to 180 MPa and has a critical fracture strain greater than 10%. The present invention further provides a method of forming a casting having increased crashworthiness.

A second control apparatus is opened. Molten metal of a second composition, different from the first composition, flows out of a second feed chamber via the second control apparatus into the mold cavity. At least a portion of the first composition metal in the mold cavity is sufficiently molten that an initial feed of the second composition molten metal mixes with the first composition molten metal in the mold cavity. An ingot is removed from the mold cavity, the ingot having top, middle, and bottom sections, the bottom section composed of metal of the first composition, the top section composed of metal of the second composition, and the middle section composed of a mixture of metal of the first and second compositions.
