    • A system and method for variably altering the dynamics of a bowling ball. The system includes a bowling ball, one or more weight holes arranged along the outer perimeter of the bowling ball and extending radially inward therein forming an open cavity therebetween, and one or more removable weight inserts configured to be inserted into and frictionally engage the respective weight holes during an operational use thereof such that the one or more removable weight inserts substantially cover and close the one or more weight holes. Each of the removable weight inserts have a positive or negative weight effect and include indicia designating the weight of the respective removable weight insert.

    • A method and apparatus for increasing the visual performance of athletes. For example, a baseball hitter is taught to recognize the spin of a thrown baseball and thus become a better hitter. A hitter wears eye glasses having lenses which are tinted in a color which is complementary to the a baseball being all or partially tinted in a complementary color. For example, the hitter may wear green tinted lenses to make the red seams of the thrown baseball become much more apparent. Various complementary color schemes are disclosed. Several examples of specific practice for use of the method and apparatus are disclosed. Examples of sporting activities in which color recognition is useful include baseball, shooting, soccer, racquetball, handball, volleyball, tennis and others.

    • A game combines knowledge cards and exercise in rolling painted animal coconuts on a playing surface. The animal coconuts move in an unpredictable way with painted marks that identify jungle animals. A weight can be disposed inside the animal coconut to make it waddle as it rolls. A sound box can be placed inside the animal coconut so that it makes the sound of the animal that the coconut represents as it waddles down the playing surface. The playing surface can be a rug marked by a vine with starting lines for various ages, handicap, and/or skill of players. A fact or question/answer card can be read before a player can roll their animal coconut. A shag rug is used to slow down the animal coconut as it is heading to score. The game allows a person to affirmatively answer the question, “Have you rolled a coconut?”

    • A bouncy ball includes anomalies which, when bounced upon, causes the ball to bounce irregularly. The anomaly may comprise a solid protrusion formed integrally with an outer skin of the ball or a separate plug filled into a pocket formed in the outer skin. The shape of the protrusion may be partially spherical. The solid protrusion may also include elongate grooves, flat surfaces or any other desired shape, such as a star. The bouncy ball may also include a secondary bladder with inflatable anomalies. The secondary bladder is coupled to a generally spherical inner tube which may be formed with grooves to receive the secondary bladder. Outer skins may be coupled over the secondary bladder and inner tube.
